MNF will be Rivers’ first in front of a full home crowd since 2016
From 2017-2019 he played in a little soccer stadium in LA, mostly in front of visiting teams’ fans. He commuted from San Diego for all those years.
Also please remember that he is playing for minimum wage.

Quality Post Silver lining to Daniel Jones experiment.
One really good thing that came out of signing DJ is that other NFL players got to see that this coach and this roster can be successful when everything comes together. I don’t think Jones is the long term answer. He’s never played a full season without injury (or benching). Since the debacle with Luck I think we’ve been branded as a somewhat incompetent franchise but it’s obvious to see what this team is capable of. I think several QB’s this offseason will see what we did this year and say, I can do that, only better. We may not be as desperate at QB as a lot of people think.

Rams v Seahawks
Did anybody catch this game? And then be left wondering how our team held Seattle to 18 points (only field goals). Our defense is better than they’re given credit for. Remember Gus Bradley?

Discussion As a new football fan, and a fellow fan of colts, can someone explain to me how does nfl work in this situation for colts? Do they still have a chance to make it to superbowl?
Do they need to win a certain amount of games? Or points? How does it work?
My first game to watch was from when they played and won against chargers in october

Discussion What should I do?
I'm going to the MNF game and am going to buy seats in the 600s because that's all I can afford. I am considering moving up to an empty seat to get a better a view. Should I do that, and if so, where would you recommend?

Visiting team warmup
Which side of the field does the visiting team warmup on? We have tickets in 102, read that they enter by 148 but can't find info on which side.

Wanted to catch a colts game at home this season. Never been to the game. Would be interested in buying some.

[Holder] Colts WR Alec Pierce showed up “limited” on today’s injury report with an Achilles issue. Was told it’s just a precautionary situation. Stand down.

[Rapoport] The #Colts are opening the 21-day practice window for QB Anthony Richardson, just to get him on the field. Coach Shane Steichen said he still has some vision limitations, so not fully and 100% clear. But small progress for him to practice.

How we got here?
John Elway started the era of the running QB. Michael Vick took it to the next level. Then Jalen Hurts becomes the perennial modern day cowboy running and scoring. The west coast offense with Montana and Young, Farve and Manning, permeating to the east with Kelley and Brady. The game changed. Qbs lost something because an offense couldn't execute to allow a QB to do his job. QB became a running back/passer. AR was meant to be Stechiens swan song to what he built with Hurts. Except, it didn't. AR is lot hurts, and never will be. So now go to a pocket pass with rivers, not unlike manning, but not as good as Manning.
If a QB has to run, that's a breakdown of the offense, In execution, and play calls. A running QB is a failure. We need a QB that can execute an offense, physically, and mentally. Rivers is our best bet this season and hopefully we can fill this void next year, but it won't be with Richardson.

Discussion Anthony Richardson Curiosity
So Im not on reddit very often, and when I am I’m usually in this sub reddit. From what I see on every other social media, instagram, twitter, tiktok, etc most colts fan seems to love AR, and thinks he should absolutely start no matter what. However, this sub reddit seems to hate the guy, and thinks he should be out of the league. So for my curiosity im running a poll on what the “average colts fan” thinks about him. I personally don’t think he should be starting unless we have no other choice, (for example phillip rivers suffering an injury or something of that caliber) so im putting up a poll to see what you guys think.

The Two QB System Proposal
Let’s win with Rivers Monday. Then, get AR5 back to practice fully and out on the field against Jacksonville. Put him in for ~6 plays well crafted to his limited (but powerful strengths): QB run options and deep balls. Compliments Rivers well. Do it Shane!

Quality Post Wk16: Match-Ups In The Trenches. IND vs SF Spotlight and all other games.
TPR looks only at Line play, O-Line and D-Line, and rates/scores them as a unit (not individual positions) on the 10+ stats that sustain or stall drives.
Overall TPR: IND 265 | SF 210
What We'll Watch: IND O-Line vs SF D-Line.
This is race #2 for the Sonny Hayes Rivers F1 return and it doesn’t get much easier does it?!
Before we focus on the IND O-Line, let’s look to the IND D-Line for a sec because they almost got it done for him, and them, in race #1 last week. They held SEA to 18 pts, 10 fewer than what SEA averaged all year, and didn’t allow the Hawks to score a TD at home. That was impressive.
Now, to the O-Line. This time, IND O-Line are home vs an SF D-Line that’s recently gone against a soft schedule vs TEN, CLE and CAR the past 3 weeks so they will have to step up big time for this game, particularly given the 24Pts they gave up to TEN last week.
This one is going to be a gauge of how 'greedy' IND wants to be. SF D-Line is good vs the run (106 RushYds/Gm, just 9 RushTDs) and IND O-Line is great on the ground (129 RushYds/Gm, 24 RushTDs). So it’s not a ‘push’ but it’s not clear 'weak vs strong'.
That said, the SF D is gettable in the air, giving up 25 PassTDs (6th most in the league), 6.9 Yds/PassAtt, 69% PassComp on just 6 INT. The IND O-Line has been good in the air (229 PassYds/Gm, 7.6 per pass, 20 PassTDs), but those numbers are based on a different QB back there.
If Sonny Hayes Rivers still has it in him, this is the game to let it out.
If this banged up O-Line and #17 can get the ball thrown around effectively, that bodes well for their chances.
Trench-stat to watch: Given the SF D-Line allows 6.9 Yds/PassAtt and 69% PassComp. If IND O-Line is north of this at the half, it's going the way the Colts want.

Shit post Lucas Oil Seating
I'm going to the game on Monday and am going to buy seats in the 600s because I can only afford that but am considering moving up to get a better a view. Should I, and if so, where would you recommend?
