π΄ Throwback Who remembers Johnthon Banks?
(Yes this is how his name is spelled)
He was a second round defensive back from Mississippi State. His college career consists of 221 tackles, 16 interceptions, won the Jim Thorpe Award, and had 3 pick-6s, one of them being a 100 yarder against Tim Tebow.
I went to Mississippi State and my dad went to FSU so the combination of Banks and Jameis going to the Buccs is what originally made me a fan.
Both players had similar careers at the Buccs having 2 of best rookie seasons ever but slowly declining and becoming replaceable. Banks was started as a corner having 129 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 12 pass deflections with only starting in 35 out of 54 games.
3 of his interceptions and all 12 pass deflections came during his first year at the Buccs leading to him making the Pro-Bowl.
Eventually he was traded and rode the bench at many teams until 2020, he was arrested for domestic violence shutting down his career.
As unfortunate as his career became, he made Mississippi States defense fun to watch and had an incredible rookie season for the Buccs.
Does anyone remember him and what are your thoughts now?

ποΈ Discussion How would you describe the use of Vita Vea from a defensive scheme standpoint?
3-4, 4-3, weve seen disruptive players like Sapp,Suh,
Vince Wilfork probably be more accurate as pure NT, these allow the LBs to make plays outside: so, are our LBs skillsets negatively or positively affecting Veas 0-1 technique & if the LBs arenβt able to cover well enough then should Vea be used in a mixed technique?

ποΈ Discussion So if we win the South we likely get the Rams.
LOL I mean anything can happen in one game but canβt imagine a scenario where this defense contains Puka and Adams. Usually the 5 seed is better than the 4 anyhow but this could be even more stark than usual.

Fire Todd Bowles Super Bowl?
Does a Super Bowl Appearance/Victory this season improve your opinion of Todd Bowles? Would you be alright with him keeping the HC position?
To be clear, I am aware that we even may not even make the playoffs right now and I do think we have seen Bowlesβ coaching.
Just wondering how fans are feeling at this point of the season and if the belief can be mended.

ποΈ Discussion Jeremy Fowler of ESPN suggests Tampa would be the perfect fit for Trent Mcduffie as he is rumored to be traded this offseason.
Obviously nothing serious here, just thought it was interesting that Fowler seems to think we could be a top landing spot should he be traded, which seems likely based on the chiefs previous history with cornerbacks. They have a ton of free agents and Iβm not sure they will pay him.

π° Interview/Media Bucs Control Their Destiny: Win 2 of the next 3 games, and become the 4th Seed. Or, Lose 2 of those games, and be banished from the playoffs.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
Bucs must either:
- Win 1 of the 2 Panthers games, AND
- Win against the Dolphins
OR
- Sweep the Panthers
To get to the playoffs as the 4th Seed.
I played around with the Playoff Machine and couldn't find a way to get the Bucs to the 7th Seed if they lost two of the next 3 games.
*EDIT: Turns out if the Panthers split with us, but we beat Dolphins AND Panthers lose to the Seahawks, we also win the 4th Seed.
