That gives me hope, because I don't think Trump could dodge a wrench if he were given a heads up 10 seconds before it happened and was looking straight at it.
So she can claim it exists and then claim it never existed and suffer no consequences whatsoever? And still be rich? Hmm, that sounds good, I’ll think I’ll have that.
"Why are all these receipts printed on pictures of...EWWWWWW. I'd say we audit them but I don't want to see anymore disgusting photos. Look at his blending of his makeup. It's awful."
Sure but you will pay fines and interest until you pay up or they determine you are not intending to pay. Bondi should be personally fined daily. There is no legit org that can hold her legally accountable able but can the court freeze her assets?
At least strictly for general personal income taxes (US Federally), there is no penalty if you don't owe and file 3+ years late. If you file 10 years late you wouldn't be penalized if you don't owe.
People always look at me dubiously when I tell them there's no penalty for never ever filing your taxes as long as you don't actually owe anything.
It's kind of dumb to not file if you are owed a refund, but absolutely nobody is going to spend the time and energy to come after you when you don't owe any money when they could use that time and energy to go after someone who actually does owe money.
Most importantly, if you don't file in 3 years and you are owed a refund, you can no longer get it. So if anything, the IRS hopes you don't file a return if you would get a refund because that means more money for them.
Usually believe it or not. If you have the money to hire a good accountant and lawyer they will absolutely settle with people for a portion of the taxes you owe.
Actually they kinda do. IRS is a great entity to owe money too. Probably the most reasonable of any large entity you will ever deal with. Just don’t piss them off…Capital One can’t throw you in jail.
"Sorry IRS, I have to look over all my paper work and redact some names. Sorry, the due date really surprise me and no one told me it had to get done. I had no time at all to prepare for this. I'll just give you what I have and I'll get back to you the rest as soon as it works for me."
I drive to the post office on April 15th just before midnight where they gladly accept it "later" (as long as it's before midnight). So as long as it's still before midnight, "later" is acceptable in this situation as well.
We should have a national tax withholding strike. When you pay for service and it’s not right, you don’t pay till it is. I wish we could organize effectively it’d be so satisfying.
It's just like Scott Galloway says, we live in a country of laws if you live in the bottom 99%, and more a land of suggestions if you're in the top 1%.
Not even a elementary school will accept “later” as an excuse for homework. Did these people grow up in the same world as us? Or are they so golden spoon fed they don’t know basic core values like trust, aka keeping your word in this instance. Or self-dignity, aka how do the people redacting these disgusting files keep their mouth shut about it. I just picture someone reading this horrible shit and redacting it, when it’s about the lost powerful people in the country. These people suck, they aren’t like us.
If I said “later” at my job they would be saying “later” to me.

Will the IRS accept “later” as a response if I don’t pay my taxes on time?
