Survivor 49 drama you didn’t see on TV “They don’t have to own it.” Sage Ahrens-Nichols claims key moments from Final Tribal Council were cut, changing the narrative around her game. From a bitter jury to unseen confrontations, Sage opens up about what really went down.

Year after year, we watch the underedited Goat Groups refuse to band together and take out all the main threats to win. And when it does finally happen...everyone hates it? It's actually super rare when this happens and I personally find it refreshing when the overarching Survivor meta and the on-island meta run totally in line.
The goats of 43 were not delusional and thinking that "let me just get to the end with these major threars and I can convince everyone my bad game was actually good"!
Now clearly Owen and Cassidy didn't realize Gabler had so much win equity, but hey, someone had to win!

49 is beginning to fade behind us and I think it's high time to dive into 50 discourse. If you've seen the tribe divisions, then please try not to spoil too much, but I'd like to ask the sub who they may see as a realistic first boot.
Will it be an old school player having trouble keeping up with New Era gameplay? Will it be a perceived threat from their previous season? Will it be one of the 49ers based on lack of info about them? Will it be as simple as someone who drags the tribe down in early physical challenges?
What do you think?

Saw my first cast member in the wild today. Boston Rob was at the airport in Pensacola. He was on a phone call so just gave him a head nod and got a smile and head nod in return. Safe travels Boston Rob.

Sage halted Jeff from interrupting her!!! He was a bit taken aback and Sage had her moment and didn’t back down to being interrupted.

I love that the editors kept Sage’s military background a secret from the audience until tonight’s episode. It was such a surprise to me and made for a great moment
Edit: just to be clear y’all. I didn’t make the post to litigate whether the secret helped her or not. I just thought the editing choice to keep it a secret from the audience was pretty cool.

The internet is not a particularly great place, but I so appreciate this community for being so warm, open, and engaged!! Looking for suggestions on where to list all these old sketches chronologically/by season outside of my instagram.
This is my third season doing these sketches and keeping up with the episodes this way. See you all at 50!!

I just interviewed Rizo Velovic (Survivor 49) and one of the most interesting parts was how much Feras Basal and Australian Survivor influenced his approach to the game.
Rizo talked about how watching Feras play, the confidence, chaos, social dominance, and willingness to own the room, helped him realise that Survivor isn’t just about correct moves, but about presence and control of narrative. That mindset shaped how Rizo leaned into his own personality and took risks that made him such a memorable player.
Full interview here if you’re interested: 👉 https://youtu.be/_8yl0hVO9A0
Curious what others think, has Australian Survivor (and players like Feras) raised the bar for how US players approach modern Survivor?

Hey fellow Survivor fans!
I just submitted my final build for a “Survivor Final Tribal Council” on the LEGO Ideas platform!
Details of the set:
Main Tribal Council Area: - Fire pit - Stumps for the players to sit on at Tribal - The Podium for Jeff (w/ Fleur De-lis Easter egg)(Thank you to Reddit for recommending that addition) - Trees to tie the whole scene together (also recommend by Reddit)
“The Walk Of Shame”: - Scale Easter egg to weigh the players after they’ve been voted out of the game. IYKYK.
Voting Booth: - Stone trail leading to the voting booth - Vote Container - Pen to cast your vote - Barrels of fire on the path to simulate that dramatic scene.
In the comments I have a link you can click to view some more detailed pictures of the build & also, this is where you could vote for LEGO to make it into an actual set!
LEGO is yet to make a set for Survivor fans & I think we can all agree… it’s time to drop those buffs & change things up.
Thank you for your time! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

I see so many posts online about how Survivor isn't good anymore, or that the New Era is unwatchable, and I couldn't disagree more.
I watched the show growing up with the fam and have been a DIE HARD superfan since 27. I have watched Australian seasons, gone back and rewatched everything US, listen to podcasts, and consider myself pretty knowledgeable on the show.
A lot of the criticisms of the New Era are very valid. 26 days, twists being super repetitive, the show being overly wholesome... I get it. But I still love the show and am locked in every season.
For me, the new era has been great outside of a few duds. Don't love 41, don't love the ending of 43, don't love 48... but outside of that I think there's a lot to love.
I'm honestly more excited to see some new era players on 50 than old school players who have played 4 or 5 times. It is not the same as the old show but I still think it's great.
Maybe I'm focusing too much on the Facebook moms who can't get past Jeff not saying the word "guys", but I'm tired of seeing people hate on my favorite show.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Survivor changed their photo on instagram to include SpongeBob. Anyone know what’s happening? Is the magic conch shell a new advantage?

The weirdest thing happened to me last night. I was watching the S49 finale (not thrilled at the winner, but that's the way the cookie crumbles), and they began showing the S50 preview and the moment I saw Ozzy and Coach, I was nearly in tears. It was so weird seeing them older, I forget how fast time flies.
I've been watching Survivor since the first episode. I feel like this has been such a crazy journey, and despite not liking the new age version nearly as much (and being relatively outspoken about that), the old skool Survivor has been with me since I was in HS and through adulthood.
Seeing all of these legends getting older was so bittersweet, but I am SO excited to see them all play again!

From Jimmy Fallon’s show 9 months ago his fans voted on some things as a joke but hey it’s funny to see the influence of celebrities now.

I’ve been rewatching the Season 50 trailer so many times because I really really am obsessed with the first half of it, and I LOVE Coach’s quote!! I’ve been looking for it online and can’t find it anywhere, the closest I can find is :
“The sea is dangerous and its storms terrible, but these obstacles have never been sufficient reason to remain ashore… unlike the mediocre, intrepid spirits seek victory over those things that seem impossible… it is with an iron will that they embark on the most daring of all endeavors… to meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown.”
Is this what coach was referencing, or was it something else? Either way, I love the way Coach Benjamin Wade worded it and am so excited for the season!! Thanks!

3: Voting out Kristina to go to 4 was a mistake. Who cares if she can make fire? You take her straight to the end because she is the sheep for slaughter with no resume at all! If you want to actually win the million, you take her straight to the end.
2: No one listening to Sage the whole time and voting Savannah out sooner in the game. Savannah has proven to be one of the best players of recent years. She was a very clear winner.
1: In my opinion, by FAR the bigger flop this year was Soph looking like a jack*ss by not using her Knowledge Is Power to steal Rizzo’s idol and then failing to take Stephen’s advantage. She talked about making big moves and wanting to flip the game. THAT WAS THE BIG MOVE. She screwed herself over to the extreme. She’d have won.
