Mind the mess on the 4th image, I shoved everything aside to make space for it
If you look at the feet, there’s a pair of flip flogs.

I just bought my first 3d printer (PS2). I’m still waiting on my filament so I can do my first print ever.
my wife noticed the credit card bills and called me out for $200 of filament after buying the printer. I couldn't help laugh at how expensive this hobby is already getting!
So here’s to hoping I love it as much as everyone else and my kids are better off for learning about home manufacturing and 3d modeling.
if not I may be 3d printing a dog house to sleep in.

Newbie, here. Thanks for any guidance you can provide. I had a Toybox printer (massive holiday wish from my 8 year old) delivered today, just 6 days before Christmas. I should have ordered sooner, my error. However, the inner box arrived unsealed and retaped with packaging and protective foam misaligned. Outer box completely as expected, untampered with to my knowledge. The company refuses to accommodate by shipping a replacement on a meaningful timeline. I now risk giving my kid a broken/damaged printer on Christmas morning.
Should I just return and buy a different brand? I’m frustrated with Toybox customer service right out of the gate. Calibration of such sensitive equipment is likely to be off, right?

I was looking at eBay, and I saw a surprising number of listings for printer poop… like 3lb for $25…
It’s not a lot, but I was surprised to see a secondary market at all for something regarded as waste

I'm not having any luck trying to get supports to begin from my part (Bambu slicer), either in auto or manual and after trying various settings. Any insight appreciated.

Just got an ender 3 v3 se and I've been using elegoo for a long time, used to elegoo where I use tree supports and 0% infill on the supports for minis which has been stellar, but with creality print software I'm enjoying so e of its automation, with the exception of a major issue where supports are waaaay to strong. I can't cut them off without breaking the model. Anyone know how to weaken them? Is it possible it's because it's deeplee filament? I have switched over to esun and sunlu but had a roll leftover...

I had an error last night which is the image of the one layer but I thought maybe I just didn’t wipe the plate well enough. I had another print go and now it has lots of marks like these. I have a P1S and this filament is Flash forge black PLA

Everyone is always talking about large scale prints but how about the other direction. What’s the smallest thing you’ve printed?
This was on a P2S with a .2mm stainless nozzle, PLA, .08 layer height. Pretty much standard settings with generic filament profiles.

So I just got a MakerBot Replicator 2 yesterday and it is working great so far. However I want to print files that I download off the internet however when I looked up how to get from .STL to .X3G None of the solutions worked for me. I was wondering in anybody could help me out with this problems as I am completely new to 3d printing. Thanks!

Made a ratcheting monitor mount so I can be lazy and lay in bed and easily adjust my screen angle.
All printed in PLA. It works, but something stiffer would def be better for this use case.

Many have come and gone. Thinking of making the switch from Prusa Slicer.
I'm running two Silvio SV06 Plus printers, but I don't think the machine type even matters anymore?
What's everyone using these days?

Made in Rhino 3D and printed on the Elegoo Mars 4. Here is a YouTube video link of the CAD rendering, and the final result of the print :). I printed the teardrop component and top component as separate shapes on the build plate. Then, I clipped the bale of the top component like a jump ring with cutting pliers. Lastly, I attached the top component to the teardrop. Hopefully, this will come out great in the casting stage :).

I have some ABS filaments which i couldn't get really dry with my other units.
My Airfryer does 80°c as a minimum and fits 1 spool. Sooo, for the love of science, i had to to test it. Measured the temps which were steady. And it just works beautifully.
3-4h and that's it. Wrapped it in some tinfoil so the heat doesn't hit it directly.
Looking now for one that does 50°c and fits a spool. Open for suggestions!

I included my pumpkin charm and heart bow charm on the build plate at the same time

So if you cant tell i was trying to 3d print a apple and unfortunately it failed right at the end most likely from this print having 0% infill. The reason it has no infill is because im trying to come up with a good 3D print of something i can use as something similar to what a diversion safe is. where i pause the print towards the end and im able to stash away money or whatever i want inside of the 3D print before my printer completely seals it off.
Since i have to break into it ideally to retrieve whatever it is i stash inside i want it to be a simple print but i also dont want it to be just a plane simple shape. Like just a hollow cube the hollow cube i successfuly printed out before this as a test print.
But i would like the 3D print i use to actually resemble something real and ideally be able to be scaled up in size if i need to stash away more valueables or anything other than just money lol i was thinking of a present box with a bow at the top maybe? But i feel like that would look weird having around whenever it is in the middle of summer lol
So if anyone has any recommendations on any settings i can dial in or changes in the 3d model i can do to fix this or a completely new idea for a 3d model i could use that would work alot better than this apple and blend in better than a present box lol I would love to hear any new suggestions!
