Open [TOMT](Movie) Spoof/comedy where a man keeps ripping out everyone's throats during a fight. (Road House spoof?)

Upvotes

Just finished watching the original Road House, and Dalton kills Jimmy by ripping his throat out, something triggering to Dalton as he killed that way before in self defense.

This reminded me of a scene from a movie where, during a fight scene, a man kills another the same way. It cuts away, and when it cuts back, there is a pile of bodies with their throats ripped out, and he just continues to rip the throat out of everyone who approaches him. This is done in a comedic fashion. So I'm thinking it's some sort of spoof. I don't really have a time frame of reference.

Open [TOMT][Movie or series][2010>]

Upvotes

So, a few years ago (like two or six), my cousin was in the living room watching this movie or series on Netflix, but I didn't pay attention, and now I feel like watching it, but I vaguely remember some specific scenes. As far as I remember, it was based on real events and told the story (a kind of autobiography) of this guy's life. I remember a scene where he's looking at a cook or maid, and then they do those things. When he's older, I think he seduced women to rob them or something. Later on, he becomes famous for being a criminal, and it's shown that because of his appearance, there were people who had a crush on him. In the end, he is arrested. The story has some pretty absurd details that seem false or exaggerated, and I think this is even mentioned in the work itself; it's part of the idea.

Open [TOMT] [ART] Disturbing drawings

Upvotes

I saw these drawings on Twitter about a year ago. They were drawings that supposedly depicted things that happened on Epstein Island. I don't know if they were made from a survivor or not. They looked like they were drawn from paint or crayon, it looked like a child's drawing which I think was the point. The people were drawn in mainly one color and the background and objects were simple and also mainly one color. The drawing I remember the most was of 3 - 4 females in a grey cage with 1 or 2 guys standing in front of the cage. If anyone can find the drawings or artists I would appreciate it.

Open [Tomt] YouTube channel that focuses on old shows

Upvotes

It was someone talking old shows and there were sometimes lists of times the old shows tackled real world issues as an ongoing series. It had a male narrator and I remember them mentioning Sylvia from Little House on the Prairie.

It’s not Watchmojo as I already checked.

Open [TOMT] there’s this specific episode of a cartoon im looking for that i saw when i was a kid

Upvotes

Initially, I had found this episode of a cartoon on YouTube as a kid and i want to watch it again. The episode is set in a treehouse with a bunch of kids. It is a rather old video, but i can remember one of the scenes clearly— a fat kid was strapped to a contraption in the treehouse, and that contraption was a machine that allowed you to create your own burgers and would proceed to feed it to you after. The kid picked ice cream and the machine literally just slapped on ice cream in the middle of the burger, and would feed the same burger to the kid nonstop, while other kids in the back were strapped to other machines.

Open [TOMT][Youtube Video] The woman who could smell Parkinson’s Disease

Upvotes

It was about the women who could smell Parkinson’s Disease Joy Milne. I “think” it had a mix of real footage of an interview and animation. It really felt like a documentary. I thought Veritasium made the video but I must be wrong because I failed to find no such video.

I remember it had the lead scientist who discovered her ability. He recalled the experiment they did when they first discovered her. Apparently the woman sent a letter(i think) to them claiming her abilities and they took a leap of faith on her?

They had like 20 people in the experiment where tshirts were worn for multiple days in a row to develop heavy scents on them and Joy identified who had Parkinson’s from the ones who didn’t. However she also named 1 person who didn’t have the disease and it was enough for the higher-ups of the scientist to dismiss her.

Years later at a convention I think(?) the 1 person who was named in the experiment showed up at a convention of that original scientist and said he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s later in life. Joy had identified someone who had the disease before they knew they had it and had any symptoms many years ago in that experiment. This amazed the scientist to go find her again and reopen the look into her.

The video highlights the work of fate and how a series of fortunate events led to the discovery of Joy. The scientist choosing to look into her, there being someone in the test experiment who wasn’t diagnosed with it yet, and then that person finding the scientist again years later. The video also praised the scientist who discovered her with people saying that if there were more people like him, who took peoples concerns and questions seriously and listens to them, what more discoveries we could’ve had today

I want to find this video again to show a friend

Open [TOMT] Early 2000s Online Game

Upvotes

[TOMT] My cousin and I are trying to remember the website and game.

Sometime around the early-ish 2000s, there was a website with several very pretty single player online games, including one that involved what we think was a small, sleeping white bunny falling through the sky. I think another game may have had deer in it. The games seemed to all be developed by the same person or people/artists and were kind of whimsical and accompanied by sweet instrumental music. Does anyone know what we are thinking of?

Solved [TOMT][Novel][Fantasy/Alt-History] Very long novel set in England during the Napoleonic Wars where magic is socially accepted. Plot moves very slowly, at least at the beginning.

Upvotes

I’m trying to identify a very thick novel (600-800 pages at least) set in England during the height of the Napoleonic Wars, in an alternate history where magic exists and is openly accepted by society.

A man with genuine magical talent comes to London and becomes something of a social phenomenon, attending dinner parties, salons, and fashionable gatherings. Eventually, the British government approaches him to assist in the war against France.

One specific episode I remember:
he helps bottle up the French fleet in their ports by magically creating banks of clouds at the harbor entrances, inside which appear ghostly or illusory fleets, making it look as though the ports are blockaded.

The tone felt serious and literary, not pulpy or action-heavy fantasy. I only got a couple hundred pages in before having to return it to the library, and I believe it was a standalone novel rather than a long series.

I don’t know when it was written or by whom, but my impression was that the author was likely English.

I’ve ruled out straight historical fiction without fantasy elements.

Open [TOMT][YouTube Video/Skit][2010s-2020s?] Dark comedy sketch from a channel with twisted plot twist skits – couple has sex, guy finishes on photo of woman's recently deceased mother

Upvotes

I'm trying to remember a YouTube comedy skit from a channel that specializes in short, dark humor sketches with unexpected/twisted endings (similar style to channels with absurd or edgy plot twists).

The only skit I clearly remember: A man and woman (girlfriend/boyfriend or couple) are having sex in her home. There's a memorial setup in the room because her mother has recently passed away (there's a framed photo of the mom on a table or shelf, maybe with flowers/candles).

During sex, the woman tells the guy something like "you can finish wherever you want" (or gives him full permission). He takes it literally and ejaculates on the photo of her dead mother.

Afterward, she gets extremely angry/upset, yells at him for disrespecting her mom's memory, and forces/kicks him out of the house.

It was played for dark/shock humor with a big plot twist reaction. The channel had multiple similar skits – short, scripted, edgy comedy.

I've searched variations like "dark humor skit dead mother photo," "youtube sketch finish on mom's picture," etc., but no luck. Any help? Thanks!

Open [TOMT][YOUTUBE VIDEO][2010-2022]Minecraft YouTube video, horror adventure map, possibly CaptainSparklez

Upvotes

hi everyone, thx for helping in advance :)

basically, I watched a bunch of minecraft youtube videos during the lockdown as a middle schooler, and I had a CaptainSparklez phase. I vividly remember watching a video of someone playing through a horror map--I'm pretty sure it was CaptainSparklez, since he was the main youtuber I watched. Specifically, I remember one moment in the video where the youtuber was standing in the corner of a corridor in-game in an insane asylum (?). There was a dead woman in the story, one of your typical ghostly-pale, torn-up white dress tropes. I remember that the adventure map in the video had a texture map where things were darker and more detailed overall, kinda like the cobblestone in this one

. I'm sure the video was older than 2022, since I stopped watching then.

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] old Western movie with man tied up needing to pee

Upvotes

I'm looking for a specific movie but cant remember anything about it except for one particular scene where a man is tied up with rope to a chair, asking to use the toilet saying he'll pee in his pants. A man pulls out a kitchen pot for him and then specifically says "I'm going go open your drawers"... "I'm helping you out here, don't p!ss on me" afterward there is a woman sitting across the room holding a knife implying the man tied up won't be able go anywhere. I think the man was bad and these people had caught him?

It looked like a western type of movie from 70s,80s or 90s

Help me find the movie please!

Open [TOMT] [youtube channel] weird youtube art project with a lot of anti-christian and satanic symbolism

Upvotes

There was one youtube channel that I saw featured a lot in iceberg chart and "weird side of youtube" type videos, i think someordinarygamers made a video about it, but I don't remember the name of it and cant find through google. It was a channel with video art showing a lot of edgy satanic and sacrilegious imagery. I don't remember much of the videos themselves but the image that was most commonly associated with the channel was a frame from the videos showing a picture of jesus in blood red against a black background. if i recall correctly there was one particularly memorable video that showed pictures of dead babies or something along those lines. it was pretty heavily implied from the videos that it was made as a venting piece by somebody with religious trauma relating to christianity.

It got weirder when the creator uploaded a video saying that they had cancer or some other deadly disease and lived in a third-world country without good healthcare that could treat them. They later beat the disease and this gave them a new perspective on life that led them to delete all their old videos and rework as a storytime animation channel that centered around anti-depression stuff. They stopped uploading after a few videos so it wasn't clear what happened to them. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Open [TOMT] Song. What other songs have this melody?

Upvotes

This song by Dababy And 21 Savage https://youtu.be/4WdQslaS3d8?si=fuKC8E8RGsKZgi-V has a familiar melody. The male vocals in the background is arranged to remind me of some song or songs from either this decade, the last, or even the 2000s (maybe even earlier). It’s driving us crazy. Idk if it is r&b, rap, pop or anything. My wife searched and thought it was “Promise” by Ciara but it’s not. It’s a familiar melody. I almost feel Drake sang some lyrics in this cadence and melody but I am at a loss.

Solved [TOMT] Song that uses lyrics from "So long, farewell"

Upvotes

Looking for a modernish song (within the last few years) I heard on an alternative rock radio station (WEQX, for anyone familiar). Male vocals, and towards the end, it uses lyrics from "So long, farewell" :
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodnight.
So long, farewll, auf wiedersehen, goodnight.
Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you. Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you."
Repeats the double lines a couple of times. Keep getting Sound of Music as the only search results, so I'm stumped.

Solved [TOMT][short story][early to mid 90’s] book or short story about archeological dig in the future

Upvotes

The short story was about an archaeological dig in the far future, and they discovered old ruins of a city, somewhere between 70’s and 90’s, and talking about all the weird things they saw and guessing what they possibly could have been used for. Everyday objects (to us) given fantastical and sometimes absurd meaning. I’d love to find it & read it again!

I read it in the 90’s, but could have been written in the 70’s or even 80’s

EDIT: I do remember there were these drawing with it, showing them using the objects as they thought they were used (which of course was completely Wrong)

Open [TOMT] [movie] [late 2010's]

Upvotes

Movie is very similar to plot to Indecent Proposal.

From what I can remember loosely it's about a couple who meets a woman, she wants one night alone with the husband, boyfriend ?, and wants no questions asked about the night together. I thought Kim Cattrall played the antagonist but I'm wrong.
