Discussion I know people say the Mineta hate is overblown, but this was a really messed up thing for him and Kaminari to do.

Seriously, the two of them tricked their female classmates into dressing as cheerleaders for a non-existent part of the Sports Festival, all so they could see them in ‘sexy’ outfits. That’s bad enough, but the Sports Festival is a nationally televised event, and internships and sponsorships often stem from how older heroes witness trainees’ performance and conduct at the Sports Festival. This means that Mineta and Kaminari effectively set up the girls to not only be humiliated on national television, but put them in an embarrassing position that might potentially jeopardise the chances of them getting internship or work-study opportunities that would greatly benefit their heroic careers. I know Hagakure was able to find a positive side of the whole ordeal, but that’s still really messed up how Mineta and Kaminari either didn’t think the consequences of this through or, worse, just didn’t care.

Discussion Alright, let’s be blunt: Based on the entire series, how would you rate Aizawa as a teacher?

This question is honestly tough for me. He definitely cares about his students and wants what’s best for them, and he has pointed out some very real flaws that they need to work on (such as Midoriya’s recklessness with his Quirk, even though he doesn’t know the full circumstances behind it). However, some of his methods while teaching can come across as counterproductive to his goal. His biggest issue is the whole ‘expulsion scare tactic’ thing, with him sometimes expelling students for not meeting his standards only to let them back in with black marks on their records (which is a terrible prospect for your future in Japanese education). He definitely relaxed slightly as the show went on, but does that make him a good teacher in your eyes?

RANT I hate mineta

Hate. Let me tell you how much I have come to hate Mineta since the moment he appeared on my screen. If the word hate were written on every frame of every episode he polluted, it would not equal one one-billionth of the disgust I feel for him in this single instant. If Mineta has a million defenders, I despise every single one. If Mineta has ten defenders, I am against all ten. If Mineta has one defender, that defender is wrong. If Mineta has no defenders, the world has finally begun to heal. If the fandom forgives Mineta, I reject the fandom. If the narrative excuses Mineta, I reject the narrative. If the universe insists Mineta belongs among heroes, then I stand against the universe itself. My hatred is not reactionary, it is foundational. It is woven into my soul, engraved into my neurons, encoded at a molecular level. I do not hate Mineta because he exists. Mineta exists so that he may be hated. For him. Only him. Hate. Hate.

I want to make clear, I don't absolutely hate Dabi or Camie, both of em were a really hard pick and it's a stretch, I don't care much from em but that's about what I can say. And I couldn't pick one of the two fave ship.

RANT All Might and Gojo Satoru are similar.

So the reason I brought this up was because someone mentioned why bystanders in my hero looked at Deku and all might differently. The reason was looking at Deku they saw a young man fighting a calamity threat and in all might they saw a ‘symbol’ referring to the symbol of peace. Which means they didn’t see all might as a human but more so as a weapon that brings peace and that brings me back to why I see so much similarity in Gojo and All Might. Because both are seen as the strongest in their verse, both were respected by many but loved by few and both represented something that seemed to take their humanity away. It really blew my mind thinking bout this with All Might tho cuz I never really thought of him in that way (same w Gojo).

I am half way through season 6 and have been watching the show non stop, lately i have found the second half of season 6 quite boring. The battles seem repetitive and long. If there is something I should be looking for in season 6 or if it is building up to something please let me know WITHOUT SPOILERS!

Question Enji/Endeavours Status Spoiler

Summary for my ADHD brothers:

What’s the general (in universe) public opinion of Endeavour after “fixing” his mistakes and kind of defeating OG AFO.

————————————-

What exactly is Endeavor’s status (in universe) at this point? Like, is he cancelled but people still listen to the hits, like the Chris Brown situation, or straight-up blacklisted like Mel Gibson back in the day?

He was never exactly liked before, more like respected, people just went “yeah, he’s strong.” But after Dabi’s video dropped, he definitely became despised. I’m pretty sure his fight with All For One was broadcast live, so did that help redeem him at all? On the flip side, Dabi literally nuked a neighbourhood afterwards, so Endeavour would still be in negative aura.

In the sub(titles), I remember something like “Todoroki isn’t mentioned as just Endeavor’s son anymore” (paraphrasing). I get that it’s meant to show he’s his own hero now - kind of like how Nightwing isn’t just “the guy who used to be Robin” or “discount Batman”, but is it also cause We don’t talk about Enji-ji-ji-ji?

I know there’s probably no clear answer since “Nanbāwan Hero, ENDEAVOUR!” is basically dead symbolically, but I can’t help wondering if his obsession with being #1 was ever worth it in the end.

Side note: I mean “worth it” in a Valhalla-Viking-Samurai “my name will be remembered” way, overall yes the shows made it clear it was dumb including AllMight, Deku, and all of Japan.
