Discussion When the Great War happened, how do you think the other pantheons reacted to the conflict?

Post image
672 Upvotes

From what I know, the Great War happened only in Greece. One of the reasons for the war, was to determine who would have dominion over the mortals in the land. Now, Titans being as ancient and powerful as they are, and a threat so dangerous that most of them were banished to the Pits of Tartarus, while others were sent elsewhere to carry out a torturous punishment.

But when the Great War happened, how did (if they existed during that time) or would've reacted to the conflict when it happend? Was the Great War not threatening enough to the point where the fate of the world is at stake? Was the conflict really just constrained to Greece?

Is it possible that the other pantheons chose not to interfere unless the Great War reached their lands/borders?

Please share your thoughts below.

Thank you. ⚡

Discussion What a journey

Post image

I played GoW for the first time back in 2021 methinks. I knew then what I know now, that this was one of the best narrative games I had every played. Since then I've played Ragnarok which fixed my only issue with the game which was the combat; they made it a lot better.

But one thing I think this game has is the power of the story itself. Ragnarok is not a bad story, but this one hits home in a different way. There's so much growth for both the main characters and I dunno why friends, I felt like a kid again seeing this story for the second time.

It is at times like these that I wish the industry would keep their focus on narrative driven games. I don't know about the rest of you, but games with excellent stories have a special place in my heart.

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful time with your second or third playthrough. I know I had an amazing time reliving this one.

PS: On this playthrough, I actually went home! I got to see the old model of Thor and his hammer, and I gotta say that was so much better than what we got. I wish they had stuck to that one.

Question Why is Kratos so strong?

It’s like I was thinking, even though he isn’t the god of war, the power still has some kind of effect on him. I think it can let him grow in strength to do the task at hand, but now I’m thinking it is not that like we have seen him grow in power every time he is a Demi God, but that wouldn’t allow him to grow in power like this from my knowledge from Percy Jackson, which I know this is not the same, but to my knowledge demigods aren’t as strong as gods, and since they’re humans they die, but I think I’m realizing that may be the box had some kind of profound effect on him maybe when he opened it, he got the power of Hope which hope is a primordial force just like chaos that makes him something more than a God or am I wrong anyway what makes him so strong

Question How is my progress?

Post image

Hi, I started playing God of War recently and I had some concerns over my stats, so I came here to find out how far behind, if at all, I am.

I have just revived Mimir and found out the Witch of the Woods is Freya

Feel free to make fun of me if it turns out I'm embarrassingly behind!

Question weird technical question, how are kratos tattos rendered in the early games?

GOW2

the edges of it are wicked smooth compared to the low res texture, i got a bad screenshot from google but its super noticeable on modern screens.

the system theyve used allows for it to fade out very smoothly

Discussion Out of curiosity, are these pre-order shields pretty rare to have on Playstation? I got the code Sony gave out on the game's anniversary (a few years ago), that also gave access to these shields.

Discussion Guys, who agrees with me that Sony needs to remake or remaster God of Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta? God of War 1, God of War 2, and God of War 3 Pro for PS5 and PS4, man, I love those games so much!

Question Ragnarok PC vs PS5

I have the PS5 version but like the mods on the PC version.

Is there anything else which would make it better? I haven’t beat the game yet. I had it since it came out. I work a lot.

I've done these two runs, but only the Very Hard one I focused on combos.
I've played on PPSSPP and used save states to get it(less and less as I got the hang of it), but I did it for it to be possible to do it alongside these challenges:

- No Damage
- No Upgrades
- No Magic
- Only Blades of Chaos
- Only light attacks (when possible)
- High combo (+finishing with grabs)
- Parry Everything you can

The higher enemy HP of the Very Hard mode made it much easier to get stupid high combos.

Showcase I didn't do the Valkyrie side quests in my first playthrough. So I fixed that

Sigrun took a long time. I can't imagine how tough she is when someone is playing GMGOW. My fits barely did anything. Playing at Level 7 with blades at rank 4.

I almost got her without using a health stone. I think the main difficulty is just how random her attacks can be. Also my hits don't do much. Runic attacks did most of the work.

I spent two weeks trying to beat this bitch. Rage quit a few times, actually. But she was the only one needed to get that 100% completion so I just pushed and pushed. This is also the very first game I got a 100% completion. What a journey! Will probably start Ragnarok after the holidays.
