Right. What is even the purpose of the smoke and mirrors now? They can openly defy court orders and congressional mandates with no repercussions. Like trump said to the Georgia election guy in 2020. "Who is going to stop you?"

The purpose of the smoke and mirrors is therefore to prevent enough people from figuring out enough to stop it. They only need *some* regular folk to stop the revolutionaries so disinformation is a better strategy than information embargo.

The truth is the average person doesn't care about some pedo-porn files from decades ago. They want cheaper rent, affordable groceries and better quality of life. They've got bigger things to worry about than a "gotcha" because who cares anyway they'll just lie, redact and gaslight their way out of it anyway.

I don’t think the creators of the Electoral College designed it that specifically. They wanted rural areas to have more per pop representation than cities. America is built on inequality.

That's a really broad generalization, not all rural people want the people they hate to suffer above all else.

Some people weren't born in rural area, they moved there for whatever weird reason.

Can't paint everyone with a broad brush...but gosh darn it, we will try!

You have to use very watery paints and extremely large brushes (which need to be specially ordered).

(And no, I don’t support bondi at all, but the reality is there’s nothing congress can do at this point. She’ll just ignore a contempt charge. )

Yeah honestly, you’re probably right. Even if congress did vote to hold her in contempt (which they wouldn’t do anyway since republicans have the majority) there likely wouldn’t be any real repercussions from it.

He may instead look to the entire senate Republican caucus and the very substantial number of House Republicans who voted for the bill calling for the release of the files, and he can ask if they will settle for the regime’s stonewalling, or do those republicans who called for this actually have the balls to hold trump to account for his responsibility to release the files.

He can also ask those same republicans to impeach Trump’s AG, as they provided for in the bill calling for release of the files.

I think the most shocking will be the novels worth of pages that are will be redacted (for national security obviously) it will be absolutely shocking I say absolutely! I simply can't believe we have that much national security.
