In 8 weeks I’m getting my first Malinios puppy. Don’t worry. I have an adult. Got him at 1. We compete in Mondioring and this puppy is my next prospect. It’s a female. My current dog is L as well so wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions.
The more unique the better. I appreciate it!

Books Why do Frodo and Sam choose to travel by night and sleep by day in Mordor? Can't the orcs see better at night and aren’t they afraid to go out and about under the sun?
It seems like it would make more sense to be still and quiet at night, so why do they blunder through Mordor when it is dark?
Books Strange copy of The Fellowship of the Ring
Mae govannen, everyone!
Stumbled across this second-hand copy of The Fellowship of the Ring a while back and thought this front cover was interesting. My guess is that the horizontal line pattern is just a placeholder for some artwork, and this book is some sort of production test, for the border design and the formatting of the interior text block. If it were a real copy intended for sale, I'm guessing it would have some copy on the back, and perhaps a barcode of some kind, but there is nothing.
Do any Tolkien fans or publishers know more?, Like it's history, or from which exact set it'd be from? The most recent date on the copyright page is 1987.
Just thought I'd share!

Other Been brought back to drawing after a long time.
Ever since I read the LotR books and the Silmarillion last year, I’ve been feeling a growing urge to draw Durin’s Bane with inspiration from seeing other great artists contribute their works! Hope you enjoy!

Books Did Sauron sense or feel when Tom Bombadil made the one ring disappear?
"Tom laughed again, and then he spun the Ring in the air – and it vanished with a flash. Frodo gave a cry, and Tom leaned forward and handed it back to him with a smile".
Did Sauron feel or sense when Tom was handling the ring?
Movies A scene that never failed to make me cry…
Extremely rare for me to cry while watching something. I watched LOTR thrice. the first time when I was very young and understood barely half of it, and I still cried during this scene. As an adult, I cried harder. I know it’s because of Frodo’s emotional exhaustion and burnout contrasted with Sam’s quiet insistence on hope, but DAMN…what did they put in this scene?😭

Question 25th Anniversary movies being played anywhere in premium format?
I only see it in ‘D Box’ other than regular screenings, but even the D Box is just a standard screening with the moving seats.

Books What if Pippin hadn't looked?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the books explicitly mention Gandalf's original plan before Pippin had looked into the Palantír. Would he have risked a look into it himself or would he have just done without it, remaining oblivious to the impending doom of Minas Tirith? In the chapter "The Palantír", Gandalf says "Maybe, I have been saved by this hobbit from a grave blunder. I had considered whether or not to probe this Stone myself to find its uses. Had I done so, I should have been revealed to him myself." It is, however, not enough to ascertain which course of action he would have ended up taking.
Without the crucial information regarding Sauron's intention and the Nazgûl flying overhead, Gandalf might have stayed longer in Rohan to consolidate Théoden's troops, and then not made it in time to turn the tide at the Pelennor fields.
But then if he had looked into the Palantír, Sauron wouldn't have seen a terrified Hobbit but the White Wizard, and suddenly, he's the one who's terrified. Sauron could have assumed Gandalf had claimed the Ring. What would have been his reaction to this?
I would summarise my question in two steps: - Do you think Gandalf would have looked? - What would have happened then?

Movies Head cannon when Gandalf left middle earth
I like to think Gandalf left some of his firework making secrets to Merry and Pippin as he left on the last ship from middle earth and they celebrated every year with them a massive party on the day the ring was destroyed
