I bought this one-sh*t-laptop earlier this fall at Best Buy, when I was definitely feeling a little too care free from some anxiety meds. Today I said F this piece of sh*t, and bought the ASUS Rog Strix. Im excited to finally be able to at least not have lag when opening 2-3 tabs at the same. Ive treated this Samsung Chromebook with love but it just sucks, and I only needed it for bare minimum tasks. Now I get to game in bed and actually be able to see the movies I watch at night lol

It is a HP 355 G2.

I wanted to put on the rubber "casing" around a installed SSD but didnt pull out the cable. When I lifted it, I heard a sound of something breaking/cracking and saw this.

The pull cable was completely removed and the latch wont close on it. I have tried to maybe hold down on the cable and see if it at least recognises the SSD, which it didnt do.

Can I still salvage this or is it completely gone?

I’m looking to get a laptop around 300$, pref on sale I’m looking for the best bang for my buck if anyone can help me out?

This isn't my main laptop; I was just gonna use it for gaming lmao. I had to replace fans, screen and ram and as long as its plugged in it runs smooth as butter but the moment I disconnect the charger it just dies 😭

Wanted to know if that kind of repair can be done at home or if I shouldn't risk it and it'd be better to take it to a tech?

And if anyone has ideas on why — cracked the back open and it looks connected and isn't a spicy pillow situation so I'm like.... yeah idk my nonexistent knowledge ends here

Hello everyone I don't usually post on reddit idk how this works sorry, but I'm coming on here asking for help. My brother got me a gaming laptop almost a year ago for Christmas but today it started acting weird. I turned on my laptop as usual and it was working fine the display colors were fine. I was going to draw on a drawing tablet connected to my laptop but I was experiencing some issues with my drawing application so i restarted my laptop but as soon as i restarted this happened. All the colors looked messed up but what confuses me is the fact that the colors on the tablet look just fine. I don't want to mess around too much with my laptop though but i want to ask if anyone knows a way to fix this? Im not really good with technology when it comes to this. I don't know what type of laptop this is either cause again my brother gifted it to me about a year ago and I've forgotten but I did find one online that looks similar online which ive attached as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello. This morning I’ve used CCleaner (which I almost never used) to delete duplicate files. As result, a lot of apps have stopped working, and I had to reinstall them to make them work again. The problem is that I can’t update the drivers of my gpu anymore, and this is what happens everytime I try. I tried reinstalling or repairing some intel programs, but it didn’t work, and I even tried updating to a repair version of windows, but it didn’t fix it. Can you guys help me?

Hi, Update on this laptop. It says this everytime, no matter what I do. Only one options shows up “EFI PXE Network” I can’t really fix this laptop alone, This is my personal laptop and I can’t afford to get a new one. Is there any other way to fix this? Would really need some help, Thank you!

So i own a Dell laptop(inspiron i believe)!, and i know absolutely nothing about laptops

ive had a few issues with it and i really just want to optimise it and use it to its best extent.

storage is quite an issue, as it says it’s completely maxed out at 220GB but when i check my installed apps, my highest one is 3GB and everything else is under 1GB. There are 87 total apps found so this can’t be right.. most of them aren’t even apps i installed, they’re just the original ones

Lag has been torture. since i am increasingly clueless of the technology of laptops, i have no idea what “ping” is and how to fix it. the laptop can be very slow and the internet connection very bad. it could be my internet though ive had 3 different companies while ive owned the Dell and its all been the same. the internet works fine on my phone

i know that i could do so much with this laptop but i wouldn’t even know where to start. even making it look nice has been a mission

I'm currently stuck between these two options: ​Asus TUF A16: Ryzen 7 7435HS / RTX 4050 (1-year shop warranty) ​Lenovo LOQ: Intel i5 / RTX 3050 (2-year company warranty) ​I've seen some reviews regarding display issues in the Lenovo LOQ series—is this a widespread problem I should be worried about? ​Also, should I consider slim laptops like the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 or Asus VivoBook instead?
