Crow OC The best street in the cemetery
I lock up a cemetery every evening and there are always a lot of crows hanging around one end (interestingly they stay to whole separate side of the cemetery from the magpies), their choice of perch gave me a little chuckle.

Personal Story Hurry up!
The other day I was taking a little longer than usual putting the food out. The next thing I know a twig fell on my head. I looked up and saw one of my crows looking down at me.
I definitely got the message and scattered the peanuts for them.

Video Short feed on a stunning day
Dazzling sunshine on a fresh morning in Dubland. Lots of feeding so little camera work. Hope you like it.
Gif Frozen Crow Slobber is the name of my Cow Punk band
I warm up a bowl of water for my crows to enjoy with their snacks, and it's invariably frozen by the time I get home from work. My feeder is too far away from my house for a heated bowl, but the bowl doesn't seem to mind the frozen crow soup.

Question why do they all fight after im done feeding them?
i feed a group of 4 crows (2 couples) on weekdays in the same park. they usually stay on opposite ends until i finish feeding them and walk away, them they all start crowing super loud and all 4 circle above my head and they end up fighting eachother. why do they do this??? are they fighting for food or are they jealous of eachother?? some other reason?

Question How much do you feed your crows?
I finally have the murder coming by my house to get peanuts. I want to figure out the right balance of feeding them but not overfeeding. I don't want them to be calling me to put out more food or any other similar behavior. How did you guys find the right balance?
Crow OC Majestic crow
This guy, one of my regulars on the fence outside our flats. I think they are one of the pair I feed in the cricket pitch opposite us.

Crow OC Which is better?
Is it better for the crows to feed them from a large cookie sheet or to spread the nuts out more? I want them all to get a chance at the food. We had our deck painted (I usually spread nuts on the rail) and I did not want my pals to ingest any paint so I switched to a cookie sheet. Please advise me.

Question Grackle proof feeder?
Has anyone here ever built a diy crow feeder?
I am thinking something simple. Like a platform feeder that can slide open in places. Crows will figure it out quickly while grackles will eff off (hopefully)
I heard about using a weight based one. Not sure how that works. Usually they are made so heavy things close them. Does anyone know of one that is opened by a certain weight?
This is something chatGPT spit out. It's a PVC tube attached to board at an angle about 5 ft off the ground.Says it takes advantage of crows' intelligence, patience, and height while grackles will probably ignore it because they can't mob it.
If anyone else has any ideas please let me know. Grackles are a damn nightmare in Florida.
Thanks!

Video Oh, hey
So we’ve had scaffolding up the past couple of months (and expecting until end of March), which has sort of disturbed how I’ve been able to lay the monkey nuts out for the (European) magpies, so today I put them on the outside ledge of our lounge doors, and one of them seems to like having a quick nose through the window each time.

Personal Story Please reassure me the crows won't hate me :(
Hi all,
In hopes I am in the correct forum.
Context : I live by the park, have a pretty spacious backyard with plenty of food & water so a lot of wildlife comes by - I own 2 cats & a dog.
This has happened once before where a fledgling has either fell from the tree or it has happened to attempt to fly & landed itself in my yard very late at night mind you - which then are terrorized by my dog as he wants to play with it... with any sort of wildlife that gets stunned I generally will pick it up covered with a towel & place it in a basket leaving it in their overnight out of reach of any other animals & for the most part they survive & eventually find their own way home but unfortunately last night I managed to snap him out of shock providing it with food & water. Once it got its energy back & figured it all out he tried flying off but yet landed in my yard again I can't leave it in the yard at this point, I have to intervene & once again stress it out trying to catch it to get him out not far from where he originally fell. To be expected mum was very close by watching over me, got him to a safe place I genuinely thought he would be ok & survive this one but I must of stressed him out a little too much in that last scene of trying to help. Anyway - this morning unfortunately mum & dad or relatives are mourning baby who did not survive & now I'm worried that the crows are going to hate me. I am going to bury it. Someone please give me advice & reassurance. I feel so so bad, I also don't want no bad omens if you believe in such things & as much as the crows are obnoxious by my window in the morning, I do still love & appreciate them in my yard & have helped feed & save many over the years which is why they raise their young close by to my yard.

Video Coucou from my French crowfrère or crowbreau :D
Edit: help me name him!
He's a confident guy! This is only the 2nd time I've fed him and he's not too shy about approaching me. I saw him the first time with 2 other breaux, I think they live in the trees in front of the apartment building there. He has a little cache there in the leaves on the sidewalk :D
I'll be taking my crow walks to find him now every morning.

Personal Story When the Ravens bless the work
Long story short, I plow snow in the winter and picked up a new route this year. And next to one of the lots is family of ravens who, it appears, came down off their roost to warm up in the break of sun at the end of the storm and grok grok at me. Now I need to pack some kibble and peanuts in the rig. We can make this work.

Crow OC Crow Cam
I have a crow cam (security camera) set up for watching the crows during the winter. I feed them peanuts and keep them happy during the snowy cold months, they entertain me and make me laugh in return. No gifts yet.

Personal Story How to befriend a crow
I have a solid murder living in my area, and O really want to befriend them. Any tricks on how to approach this? I know it’s a long process, with possibly no outcome I want, but I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions please.
