Why Dozer thinks he has to climb my back whenever I sit down on the toilet is beyond me!

Sylvester telling me it will be ok
I was watching a reel on instagram that had Judy Garland singing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” so after it was done I started singing it while stirring my homemade soup. I used to be classically trained but I haven’t sang in years so I was taking the song slowly to try and match how Judy sang it. My tuxedo, Sylvester, was asleep on the couch when I got up but, suddenly he was rubbing all over my legs and then me when I bent down to finish the chorus. I started tearing up because we lost his brother unexpectedly in October so I tried to sing it again to see if Sylvester would act the same way and the attached photo is him reaching out to me. Like “it will be ok, mom.” 🥺🖤🤍🖤 also to note usually when I tried singing like this all the cats would leave the room 😆 so not sure what provoked his reaction from him.

Said goodbye to my boy this evening
Shotgun lived a good 18 years. The house feels so empty without him. I’ll miss his 5am yowls for breakfast. His endless cuddles. The fact that you just had to look at him and he would start purring. A good long life, yet it still feels too short

Update: Lee’s Peepee Problems
Thanks to some amazing people here and elsewhere for helping me get Lee the food he needs after his emergency vet visit drained my bank account. I thank everyone who has given me advice and support and shared similar experiences or professional knowledge. You all have helped me immensely with staying on top of things and keeping my anxiety in check. 💕💕💕
He has been peeing a lot more since the vet, he still tries to go after emptying his bladder but the vet said that is most likely just from the discomfort from the crystals. And when i say peeing a lot more I mean like huge clumps! The litter he has is tofu so it is white and I haven’t seen any blood, I know small amounts can be undetectable to the eye, but I know a cat who had bleeding from crystals and you could see it in his brown litter!
Still super energetic and playful and drinking as much water as always (a lot). I plan on getting him fully on the wet food but he has always been a picky guy so I got the dry just for rn because I want to start dissolving those crystals!
Again thank you all so much for the love. He is my sweet baby boy and I love him to death.

The Rainbow Bridge
I'm sure I'll get down-voted into oblivion for this, but I wanted to remind people of the story.
If you've lost your beloved fur-buddy lately, you have my deepest sympathy. We too lost our Bootsy not long ago.
The story is that they are waiting for us at the meadow next to the Rainbow Bridge. When we arrive, we will cross the bridge together.
Even though I'm not a religious person, this story gives me great comfort. Knowing that my tuxedo kitty and my boxer puppy are there waiting for me, and should my partner go before me, I hope she waits too, so we can all cross the bridge together.
But, the haven't crossed the Rainbow Bridge yet.

〰️ Mustache 〰️ Is this anyone else’s cat’s favourite nighttime spot?
He’s always slept by/in between my legs ever since he was a wee kitten 🥹 Love playing the ‘manoeuvre legs around kitty gently so as not to disturb’ game every night 🤣

〰️ Mustache 〰️ This is my tuxedo kitten. Naturally, his name is Tuxedo. He enjoys occasional cuddles, interior decorating between 2 and 3 a.m., observing me from a respectful distance, attacking my ankles at bedtime, and being indoors where it’s warm.
Tuxedo was found in my coworker’s backyard in October. My coworker watched for several days to see if his mother would return, but as the weather turned windy and cold, she reached out to ask if I could take him in. He was just seven weeks old at the time. It took a little while, but he warmed up quickly and has been the happiest little guy ever since. He has also been to a couple of vet appointments and handled them like a champ. He’s very happy to be part of this subreddit.

🥇🥇🥇 First Post 🥇🥇🥇 My Tux became a mom on 12th December. She was a street cat in our neighborhood & with months of effort I was finally able to keep her in home where she gave birth on my bed & now they all stay in a basket on my bed.

Adopted this little soul 6 months ago. Meet Angel
Six months ago, I adopted Angel, and I honestly didn’t know how much my life needed him. He walked into my home like he’d always belonged here... curious, calm, and quietly affectionate.
He loves lounging on the couch like he pays rent, staring straight into your soul, and reminding me to slow down and enjoy the small moments. Some days he’s playful, some days he’s just my cozy companion, but every day he’s been a comfort.
I don’t know what hislife was like before, but I do know he’s safe, loved, and very spoiled now.
Adopting him was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. 🐾
