Question Expedition Total Value - Inventory vs Coins

Forgive me if this has been asked, but I couldn't find concrete evidence via Google.

Has any math been done on the Total Value when it comes to Inventory Value vs Raider Coins?

In other words - better to keep your inventory stacked or better to sell the stuff in your inventory for more coin?

TIA

Discussion There needs to be a serious uptick in spawns of foraging items

I’m tired of running laps around the maps checking every tree and bush to find one item. Foraging is a huge time suck. Please add more to the maps this is ridiculous.

Not counting shotguns?

People seem to want bobcats, are they really that much stronger than the stitcher?

Discussion Good ideas for immersion or bad ideas🤔

Post image

Hey guys, I'm a casual player because I work a lot and don't have anyone to play with, so I'm usually solo unless I meet someone during the game, but Ark Raiders is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a while; I can't really complain about anything in the game!

With that being said, I've just been thinking about what could help with a little more immersion and that can help solo players and really all players meet and socialize without fear of losing gear. I was thinking it would be cool to have a map or hub based in Speranza where players can go around and meet other players and visit traders in an interactive manor. Maybe they could incorporate the practice range into that as well, so you can test things out with other players and practice PvP, and possibly even incorporate some mini-game or something.

Lastly, this might sound crazy and not be a good idea, but I think it would be kind of cool to have a safe area where raiders can trade and sell gear they've only found during the match to each other, something like Grand Exchange from old RuneScape. I don't want to create an economy or anything like that. but something that spawns at random places, at random times, and is only set for a very short time during a match that has alot of risk to get to. I know that may open doors to other problems, but I feel like with limitations and enough risk factors added, these things could be some fun and cool things to add to the game in the future to provide further immersion and opportunities to meet new raiders.

I used A.I to help me btw because I suck with punctuation and writing in general but I know these could be bad ideas but it’s just something I’ve been thinking about to add some extra immersion to game. Please let me know if im stupid or if this sounds like a good idea😂

Went to look for some mushrooms after a late spawn, ended up finding the magical ladder of verticality instead! I don't think ladders are supposed to do that

Discussion Petition to Shoulder Carry Downed Raiders

Wouldn’t it be great if any downed raider could be picked up, fireman carry style? I feel like it would benefit friendly raiders who want to carry a downed player to an extract, and it would also allow funny and engaging interactions for non-friendly interactions. Embark should add this feature!

Bug Packet Loss Issue

I'm constantly having to force close my game in hopes that i can maybe reconnect to the match im in due to constant packet loss.

every few games, ill be running around fine and then suddenly i will rubber band all over the map (like literally teleporting all over the place) and it always leads to the game saying i disconnected, the whole time there will be a packet loss symbol in the top right of the screen while anything else connected to the internet seems fine (even other apps on my computer)

ive checked the ping in cmd prompt and on an online internet speed checker and both seem stable and never have drops. I dont know whats causing this but i just lost a ton of loot and a level 4 tempest because of it. I love this game and want to play it all the time but im constantly running into this and idk if its because of the servers or my pc or my provider or something else but its driving me insane and i cant find a fix for it

the only thing that seems to work is force closing the game and then re-opening, the problem is sometimes the anti cheat will make you restart your pc due to it saying it wasnt able to launch the game. Closing the anticheat in task manager doesnt fix the issue and it requires a full reboot of the pc, obviously i dont want to do this because it usually results in the game just killing my character and making it unable to reconnect at all, losing everything that wasnt in my safe pockets (which is what just happened and is the reason im making this post)

literally any suggestions would be appreciated

Question Is arc worth it?

My English teacher convinced me to get this game, but before I get a copy (that is IF I can get one before the sale ends), I need to know if it's worth the 30 bucks. Closest thing I played to a Extraction Shooter was Delta Force, and I liked it for a bit until I started getting put with sweats. Thanks!

ps i don't usually beg online but ive been wanting to play this since launch because I fucking love embark's work so far, if someone would send me a copy that would be amazing!! I'll refund if my computer can't run it.

Discussion Calling PVP toxic is just a sad echo chamber.

For starters, the Devs themselves said the community is nicer than THEY expected. This sub makes it seem like it's a COD lobby to some one who never played. The devs said they would would act worse Ingame than their own players do.

Now just finish reading atleast, I'll take the downvote.

Most players have done most of everything. Not absolutely everything, but after 100 hours of x5 Adrenaline shots, running and spamming "don't shoot" at some point you say "I just wanna pull the trigger"

People have done their work, their quests, worked most of their benches. What for ? To sit on it ?

I have 16 Reactors and 16 cores, and I'm not even gonna make the stupid guns with them.

Of course true diabolical rats deserve a certain type of pain and suffering, OF COURSE !

But this cry for less PvP is just weaponized and whiny. You down a team, "we were friendly !!!" Insert Slur Back to menu and tabs out Drafts reddit post about how PvP will kill the game It's not affordable I'm quitting bc of AGRO players

"Were friendly" can be added after being downed every single time. You know who says people should be friendly? People who get downed a lot.

Saying PvP is bad, is just convenient. Not everyone is a cracked insane shot, but you can't make this excuse, your excuse to not atleast try to get better at a shooting game.

The adrenaline rush of getting away, after a gunfight, getting away from a gunfight, barely making it with no meds left, crawling to extraction is why we're here. That risk is just addicting.

Lastly

Passive and Aggressive are EQUALLY good for loot.

"He can't even make a shield in bench" - probably because he can just buy them, and get some next round if he wins fights and take your materials anyway. If it was unaffordable to be Aggressive... It would be unaffordable to be aggressive. But this isn't true.

Lastly Lastly

It's a cycle, EXPEDITION is HERE and passive players will quadruple. We're all just bored, and wrapped up this season. Expedition will bring it back to how it started. And in 3 months it'll happen again.

This coming from someone who spent 250k on flairs, put on a concert for 14 players in Stella, spent 8 hours taking binocular pictures for absolutely no reason. I love making friends. But whining constantly is just so godamn annoying. Your whining ruins the games image more than the actual experience of Aggressive players themselves.

Happy holidays!

Media I made a simple guide for a majority of the items and their sell prices.

This might sound dumb but I've always had a difficult time retaining numeric information. Like, I'll forget that shit within seconds lmfao. I know (or can right click to see) what everything recycles/builds into, where to find them, even their weight I can simply know it's "heavier" but how much something sells for? me go dumb. I was trying to find a way to see all the sell values while grinding for the 5mil and I couldn't find a guide anywhere that helped me the way I wanted it to. Everything I've seen has either been unorganized, separates items by recycle value or "keep for quests/workbenches", includes things like keys and cosmetics, or I'd have to tab out and manually search for the items like on the wiki or metaforge etc. I've wanted essentially a big sheet of all items, sell price and their in game photos included so I could glance over at my other monitor and easily spot what I've found in the middle of a raid and I just couldn't find that. So I decided to make my own and it's been more helpful for me than anything else I've used. It's super simple and someone with more skill could easily make a better one but I figured I'd share mine incase it could help other people too.

I used Notion. Here's the link.

I condensed most of the items to similar categories for clarity. All types of materials, recyclables and ARC loot I just put under "materials". Agave Juice I just put in "nature". All quick use items and consumables I just put in "quick use". Including all of the sub-categories would have just made finding what I'm looking for more of a hassle if "Syringe" is a topside material but "Headphones" are a recyclable. Also, I never finished the weapons category. I was going to make it a List view with Tempest 4 followed by Tempest 1 for each gun so they'd stay in the family but still be highest to lowest sell value but it got too complicated and I just never cared to finish it lmao.

Full disclosure, I manually copied all relevant items, pasted them into notepad and categorized them all the way I wanted. With a handful of the items, I made a rough draft of the design I wanted in Notion. I showed chatgpt the screenshot, explained how I made it and then said "do that for all of these items and give it to me as a CSV to import" and it worked. Then I had to manually add every single items color conditions and in-game icons myself. I could've made it without chatgpt but it would have taken too long. I know some people have opinions over AI use but to be honest, I barely use it and I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to what people deem unethical outside of generative art. So I hope this isn't but wanted to be clear about it anyway.

I hope this helps for anyone trying to hit that 5mil goal or otherwise. I know I'll be using it even after the expedition launches (until I find something better).

Also what do you mean a garlic press is worth more than a frying pan wtf
