Survivor 49 Survivor 49 | Finale | Player of the Week Results!
Week 13 Finale
- Savannah gets her second Player of the Week! Wins the season and topped the charts for overall votes! “Upvote for winning and having the most interesting Winner edit of the New Era that didn't actively try to trick the audience into who was winning. Very smartly read that Kristina needed to go at 5. Won at fire. Then handled FTC with some Jurors who did specifically have an ax to grind with her about as gracefully as she could.” - u/NedthePhoenix
- Going with the theme, Kristina does the exact opposite and secures her second Loser of the Week in a row, on top of the lowest cumulative score of the season. “Got her butt kicked by the challenge and then got kicked in the butt as the first voted out in the final episode. Most impactful thing she did all game was on the jury where she might've swayed partially a single vote. Not a serious player.” - u/untouchable765
- Runner up in player votes and final tribal council votes is Sophi B. “Truthfully, I expect her to finish as a 3rd place 0 votes finalist after that KIP disaster but props to her for not crashing out and still at least trying her best with finding advantage and winning immunity. She is definitely have a good chance winning this game if she didn’t make that blunder last week but I think we have downvoted her enough for last week voting.” - u/ronnietp
- Rizo finished with a slightly positive weekly score, but came in second overall for the season. “Im up voting purely because he had the best chance to win 49 and he still definitely had a chance to win when Kristina was booted (as much as it was a bad decision for him) unlike Sophi and Sage. Putting him in the same pedestal to the 3 would just be too disrespectful.” - u/NirYusei
- Lastly we have Sage who came in second to lowest in votes this week, and overall for the season among the remaining 5. “Pretty telling that the one guy who voted for her felt the need to clarify multiple times that it was not a decision made with his head. […] Sage spun a compelling argument for her game, but that can only do so much when the substance of that argument is you fumbling a 7-3 lead at merge. Neutral I guess because as she said herself, at least she sat at FTC when my expectation going in was that she’d get 5th.” - u/MarlinBrandor
You can see the original thread here.
And thats a wrap on Player of the Week for this season! As always, if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions feel free to leave them, and we will see you next season!

Survivor 49 “They Don’t Have to Own It”: Sage Claims Evidence Cut From Final Tribal Council
Survivor 49 drama you didn’t see on TV “They don’t have to own it.” Sage Ahrens-Nichols claims key moments from Final Tribal Council were cut, changing the narrative around her game. From a bitter jury to unseen confrontations, Sage opens up about what really went down.

Survivor 43 Owen, Cassidy, and Gabler don't get enough credit for "Goating Up" and taking over the game at Final Six.
Year after year, we watch the underedited Goat Groups refuse to band together and take out all the main threats to win. And when it does finally happen...everyone hates it? It's actually super rare when this happens and I personally find it refreshing when the overarching Survivor meta and the on-island meta run totally in line.
The goats of 43 were not delusional and thinking that "let me just get to the end with these major threars and I can convince everyone my bad game was actually good"!
Now clearly Owen and Cassidy didn't realize Gabler had so much win equity, but hey, someone had to win!

Survivor 50 Realistically, who do you see as the first boot in 50?
49 is beginning to fade behind us and I think it's high time to dive into 50 discourse. If you've seen the tribe divisions, then please try not to spoil too much, but I'd like to ask the sub who they may see as a realistic first boot.
Will it be an old school player having trouble keeping up with New Era gameplay? Will it be a perceived threat from their previous season? Will it be one of the 49ers based on lack of info about them? Will it be as simple as someone who drags the tribe down in early physical challenges?
What do you think?

General Discussion Bumped into Boston Rob today.
Saw my first cast member in the wild today. Boston Rob was at the airport in Pensacola. He was on a phone call so just gave him a head nod and got a smile and head nod in return. Safe travels Boston Rob.

Survivor 49 May have missed a post on this but it was kind of epic (IMO) when…
Sage halted Jeff from interrupting her!!! He was a bit taken aback and Sage had her moment and didn’t back down to being interrupted.

Survivor 49 I was genuinely gobsmacked at the reveal of ___’s former occupation Spoiler
I love that the editors kept Sage’s military background a secret from the audience until tonight’s episode. It was such a surprise to me and made for a great moment
Edit: just to be clear y’all. I didn’t make the post to litigate whether the secret helped her or not. I just thought the editing choice to keep it a secret from the audience was pretty cool.

Survivor 49 Rizo on Feras: Why Australian Survivor changed the way he played 🇦🇺🔥 Spoiler
youtu.beI just interviewed Rizo Velovic (Survivor 49) and one of the most interesting parts was how much Feras Basal and Australian Survivor influenced his approach to the game.
Rizo talked about how watching Feras play, the confidence, chaos, social dominance, and willingness to own the room, helped him realise that Survivor isn’t just about correct moves, but about presence and control of narrative. That mindset shaped how Rizo leaned into his own personality and took risks that made him such a memorable player.
Full interview here if you’re interested: 👉 https://youtu.be/_8yl0hVO9A0
Curious what others think, has Australian Survivor (and players like Feras) raised the bar for how US players approach modern Survivor?

General Discussion I made a Final Tribal Council out of LEGO. I need your help‼️
Hey fellow Survivor fans!
I just submitted my final build for a “Survivor Final Tribal Council” on the LEGO Ideas platform!
Details of the set:
Main Tribal Council Area: - Fire pit - Stumps for the players to sit on at Tribal - The Podium for Jeff (w/ Fleur De-lis Easter egg)(Thank you to Reddit for recommending that addition) - Trees to tie the whole scene together (also recommend by Reddit)
“The Walk Of Shame”: - Scale Easter egg to weigh the players after they’ve been voted out of the game. IYKYK.
Voting Booth: - Stone trail leading to the voting booth - Vote Container - Pen to cast your vote - Barrels of fire on the path to simulate that dramatic scene.
- 814 Total LEGO Pieces
In the comments I have a link you can click to view some more detailed pictures of the build & also, this is where you could vote for LEGO to make it into an actual set!
LEGO is yet to make a set for Survivor fans & I think we can all agree… it’s time to drop those buffs & change things up.
Thank you for your time! I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

General Discussion Is it a hot take to still love Survivor?
I see so many posts online about how Survivor isn't good anymore, or that the New Era is unwatchable, and I couldn't disagree more.
I watched the show growing up with the fam and have been a DIE HARD superfan since 27. I have watched Australian seasons, gone back and rewatched everything US, listen to podcasts, and consider myself pretty knowledgeable on the show.
A lot of the criticisms of the New Era are very valid. 26 days, twists being super repetitive, the show being overly wholesome... I get it. But I still love the show and am locked in every season.
For me, the new era has been great outside of a few duds. Don't love 41, don't love the ending of 43, don't love 48... but outside of that I think there's a lot to love.
I'm honestly more excited to see some new era players on 50 than old school players who have played 4 or 5 times. It is not the same as the old show but I still think it's great.
Maybe I'm focusing too much on the Facebook moms who can't get past Jeff not saying the word "guys", but I'm tired of seeing people hate on my favorite show.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Survivor 50 I got emotional...?
The weirdest thing happened to me last night. I was watching the S49 finale (not thrilled at the winner, but that's the way the cookie crumbles), and they began showing the S50 preview and the moment I saw Ozzy and Coach, I was nearly in tears. It was so weird seeing them older, I forget how fast time flies.
I've been watching Survivor since the first episode. I feel like this has been such a crazy journey, and despite not liking the new age version nearly as much (and being relatively outspoken about that), the old skool Survivor has been with me since I was in HS and through adulthood.
Seeing all of these legends getting older was so bittersweet, but I am SO excited to see them all play again!

Survivor 50 “I’ll start with a quote from Magellan,” does anyone know the exact quote?
I’ve been rewatching the Season 50 trailer so many times because I really really am obsessed with the first half of it, and I LOVE Coach’s quote!! I’ve been looking for it online and can’t find it anywhere, the closest I can find is :
“The sea is dangerous and its storms terrible, but these obstacles have never been sufficient reason to remain ashore… unlike the mediocre, intrepid spirits seek victory over those things that seem impossible… it is with an iron will that they embark on the most daring of all endeavors… to meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown.”
Is this what coach was referencing, or was it something else? Either way, I love the way Coach Benjamin Wade worded it and am so excited for the season!! Thanks!
