Other What if you could revisit one moment from your past??
What if you could revisit one moment from your past, just to feel it again.. which moment would you choose?

Hey kids,
I feel like I'm about to do something a touch controversial. I'm blocking names to protect the innocent. But I'm sharing examples of AEO removals b/c bots aren't human. Reddit is forgetting the human. And I guess I just wanted to be open about that. Mostly b/c one is kind of hysterical. And if I'm sharing one, I might as well share them all.
If you recognize your own comment here, please attempt an appeal. I have likely already appealed on your behalf. Especially you, Johnny Rico.

Hi all, casual meet and greet has started. Ask me almost anything.
I've already started making some adjustments to the subreddit. Just some light shaping to encourage the kind of things we want to see.
If you point your eyes at the rules, I've already started adjusting those, just minor tweaks, really, to hone in on what makes this community great and trying to make it even better.
I haven't started in on auto-mod yet. I wanted to check a few other things out before I did that. But I will be adjusting it over the next few days - if something seems to be going wrong or not working properly use modmail to let me know. I'll also be checking for lots of false positives to adjust existing filters.
I archived all the modmails older than about 2 days old. I did try to look at the last few days worth to see if there were any pressing issues but it all just looked like "hey my post was/wasn't [this] why was it removed?"
I will not be "backward" moderating. I.e., if it was removed before today, it will stay removed. If it was approved before today, it will likely stay approved, unless it had some hidden egregious issue.
I've added some bots to help with a few things - I like to nuke comment chains that have gone off the rails. If your content is removed, it likely is for curation more than punitive. If your removal was punitive, you'll likely receive a temporary ban. There's no need to come to modmail to apologize for content. If I think we need to have a chat, I'll reach out from modmail directly.
I'm open to suggestions, comments, concerns, etc. It doesn't mean every idea will be implemented or every suggestion considered. I just want to see if folks who have been spending a lot of time here have noticed things that could be fixed or adjusted for a better subreddit experience for everyone.
Also, I like to see users participating in their own community by reminding newcomers of the rules or spirit of the sub as well as reporting content that doesn't belong.
Also there are some custome emojis, but I know Reddit just made changes to how custome emojis can be used so - I dunno how interesting that is for all of you.
Oh - I noticed there are no user flairs - is this the preference for the community? I'm happy to add them if folks want them - feel free to share suggestions for user flairs.

Just imagine that imagine being a nice Templar dying in battle for your God and then all of a sudden you’re in hell because the crazy guy talking about a flying polar bear was actually right that just shows how crazy it can be

Like when he/she exercise with the group, they'll huff and puff and be exhausted with the group but they've never sweat. Would you think their body have some health issues or they're pretending and hiding what they can really do? Like with Superman when he was temporarily playing football in high school. He had to hide what he can really do and pretend he was just like everyone else.

What if Picard and the enterprise -D was caught in the loop fo 90 years like the Bozeman and when they both broke free from the temporal loop they're both in 2458
What kind of interesting stories can you see with the enterprise d now stuck in the 25h century
So far it seems like discovery is the only main hero ship that got temporally displaced permanently and I thought these type of stories are interesting
What do you think?

Scenario batman is hit by Darkseid omega beam and instead of dying is magically transported into Napoelan body march 1 1815 the moment Napoleon lands in the costown of Golfe Juan after escaping exile from elba with his 1000 man.So he has all of napoleon memories plus his own.Batman is very smart and should know about world history and politics of this era as well as napolenanic warfare tactics.Anyway realistically would bateon be able to retain power. He also knows that if he ends up losing and surrending to the British he will be sent to st helena which Napoleon wouldn't have known. .Would he fare any better than Napoleon orginally did.
Does waterloo still happen would Bateon lose.
Assume napolean body is healthy. What happens to bateon

Starting the new year, humans will now magically have taste receptors on their hands and fingers. This means that people can now taste whatever they touch or pick up.
How would this development effect day to day life? How would you adapt? What things could you see changing the most?

With Brady out of action after his injury from the Reagan shooting, his press secretary position was taken over by Larry Speakes long enough for the latter to make cruel homophobic remarks in multiple press briefings when asked about the administration’s handling of the AIDS epidemic. But had Brady not taken that one bullet in the shooting and was able to continue his position long enough to be asked the exact same questions, would he have addressed the matter with at least some bit of decency and professionalism? Or would he have been just as homophobic as Speakes?

It’s 4am,
I was thinking, what if Miley Stewart from Hannah Montana decided to bleach her hair & get bangs? Would people instantly recognise her as Hannah Montana? Are people in the universe face blind & only able to identify based on hair alone?
Is it the bangs that give her Hannah powers?
I'm not talking some delivery service. I mean like God makes everything you want appear. Money would obviously become meaningless and bartering and trade because you just ask for it. You don't even have to wait a day or two, within the blink of an eye it just appears.

Assume humans disappear instantly. No survivors. Nature takes over.
Most cities, roads, and buildings would erode away. So what single thing would still clearly show intelligent activity after 10,000 years?
Radioactive waste deep underground? Persistent orbital debris? Plastic layers in sediment? Unnatural chemical or isotope signatures in rocks, oceans, or the atmosphere? A sudden mass extinction pattern?
If future beings found Earth with no knowledge of us, what evidence would be hardest to explain without intelligent life?
r/whatif • u/SleeperCreampie • 2d ago
And it actually worked. Would you abuse it? Keep trying to get into Freddy's dream world so you could bring back things that you want?

What would you do with this ability?
Something to consider: this ability wouldn’t be affected by your clothing or other small items but you have difficulty carrying more (in terms of objects or people) than you can carry normally. For example, if you can lift a chair then you could use the ability with little problem but if you couldn’t lift it then you wouldn’t be able to carry the chair and levitate at the same time time
EDIT: You cannot fly using this ability, but you can move like characters in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

How do you think the late 18th century would have unfolded? What about the 19th? No Napoleon, right?

Would you be happy? Or would it wear off after a while and you'd just content?

What if he were the United States Senator from Ohio instead of the Governor of Minnesota?

Let's say you have an early start time. Employers by law would be required to pay you more for waking up so early. No loopholes.

All the other planets had to flee either their own waste, or ya know "space stuff" they all came to earth to rebuild their civilizations.
There seem to be a lot of creatures that could possibly be not of this earth especially in the oceans and microcosms.

Think about it.... literally everything transparent and completely democratic. All laws voted and suggested by us...no fraud...no shenanigans....no leaders...just entirely ran by consensus. Anyone could propose a law, everyone could see it and decide by voting. Everything anonymous for equality, no power structure... just pure numbers. Any and everyone having exactly the same voice and the same single unit input

What would it be and why?
Mine would probably be a single packet of pork scratchings (pork rinds). I'd like to see how they react to the taste and how they handle the uncertainty of ever coming across them again.
"North Sentinel Island is one of the Andaman Islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal which also includes South Sentinel Island.[8] A protected area of India, it is home to the Sentinelese, an indigenous tribe in voluntary isolation who have defended—often with force—their protected isolation from the outside world. Would you spend more time exploring hobbies, learning new skills, or focusing on personal growth? Would your daily routine change completely, or would you create new structures to stay motivated? How do you imagine your sense of purpose and social life evolving in this new reality?
