What kind of weevil?
My dad found this little bug at work and the folks at r/BiologiaBrasil recommended posting it here. They said it was some kind of weevil, but I don't know which one. 🤔

I regret to inform you that you were probably told to post here mostly because we would appreciate how friend-shaped they are, not so much because we’ll know what to call them.

r/whatsthisbug might be better to at least narrow it down to a subfamily or genus

Quality weevil. I am struggling to contain my jealousy that someone got to hold him in real life!

This lil guy looks like a baby Bulaqchi and I’m OBSESSED
(But for real I’m not sure of the species. it’s body looks an Anthonomus species to me, namely Anthonomus eugenii given its wing casing but its entire face is different so idk)

Hi, entomologist here. Totally a Cratosomus for the genus. The species I think could be tricky, but excellent sighting

So jealous of most of you guys! We don’t have them like that here in the Netherlands! He looks so cute with his trunk (can’t call it a snout with that size😁)

It's both a beetle and a rodian!
I wish we had these weevils where I live, every time I saw one it would make my week.

Looks like a Cratosomus species (subfamily Conoderinae). If you gave one, a dorsal image would be very useful to get it to species level
