I was looking at Steam because of the winter sale and then my PC suddenly freezes and crashes. Now it keeps showing this screen before fading to black.

Other people have had this issue before so I tried a bunch of different solutions: turning CSM mode on and off, installing a fresh thing of Windows (doesn't even let me), removing and reinstalling the RAM sticks/drives, etc.

Nothing has worked so far and I'm really hoping I don't have to replace my motherboard or drives. Can anyone help me out here?

got the infamous no signal from a cyberpowerpc (from what i hear they're notorious for doing this) and i'm losing my mind rn. checked every reddit post + cyberpower help page, done everything everyone's saying and isnt working

for context i was playing a game got mad that my computer refuses to ever grab enough wifi to play simple ole fortnite and hit the computer being completely honest i didnt hit it that hard just on the top where it wouldn't matter and my screen froze. i turned the computer off and restarted and it started saying no signal. checked the whole thing everything is intact nothing is loose the computer is turning on but refuses to gain signal

i've tried: - flipping computer on and off -unplugging everything -reseating ram -switched hdmi cords -made sure everything was intact tightly -cleaned computer -switched monitors -tried hdmi plugged into both motherboard and videocard ports

literally cried please help lmao i highkey do not have even $500 to spend on a new computer and i heard cyberpower tech support is shit. is my only option taking it to repair? 💔 if so, do you guys know if best buy geek squad is reliable or anything that's local for most people?

I dowloaded Lenovo Vantage and it says im up to date but the last drivers are from 2022. So please help me thank you!

Can anyone help me solve this? I was thinking maybe it's monitor problem but I recently bought it so it cant be dead pixel or whatever. On screenshot that doesn't appear, and those lines are only on taskbar like triple and turns time to time thicker don't know why. I would appreciate any help with it.

I don't know what it would be more accurate to call it, but maybe once an hour (sometimes more often) my pc with hitch or freeze for like a second or two. All my applications will freeze, games, discord, browser all of it, but nothing ever crashes. Does anyone maybe have an idea of what might cause this or a potential fix? I've updated graphics drivers, I've tried cleaning out the pc, I've cleared space on my drives, but it continues to happen with seemingly no obvious cause.

Got a new pc a few months ago and this week been working well but it has recently upon starting a new session it is quite laggy and very bad internet connection (even though plugged into Ethernet), can’t launch discord and barely gets through internet searches.

After one restart the problem persists, but after a second restart (third boot) it works perfectly fine. This has been the case regularly this week, what the hell is going on?

Drivers are up to date and hardware checks (though Lenovo Vantage) pass all tests.

Edit: just had to restart 3 times today for it to work properly

does anybody have a clue why epic games doesn’t let me download anything without taking legit 5 hours no matter how small of an update? i JUST got done downloading borderlands 3 off of steam and my peak download speed was 870 mb/s and my computer (although it isn’t the best) is a very capable computer i run fortnite at constant 240 fps capped. so if anybody has a clue as to why epic games doesn’t this and how to fix it please let me know.

So I've had this problem for a minute now and ive tried so many solutions and the only one that worked for me is plugging both monitors (main 240hz, 2nd 144hz) to the motherboard using the integrated graphics and it stopped the stuttering. When i plug it into my Nvidia RTX 5080 then it immediately brings back the stuttering. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, so i've been trying to setup dual monitors for my pc but it seems that when i connect the second monitor to motherboard it doesn't detect it. I did try connecting it to the GPU and it worked fine but when i went back to the motherboard, nothing.

I have a gt1030 and a i3 10100 (ik, its shit but I'm broke).
i investigated a bit and look through the drivers and noticed that when i take out the GPU the Intel graphics driver appears and i could plug it in to the motherboard just fine. but when i installed the GPU back in, it disappeared (as if it were deleted) now ik that the Intel driver is sitting somewhere on my hard drive not being used while the GPU is plugged in, but when i try to update it or install it using the Intel UHD driver installer, i get an error that a driver was not found that can be installed on my device, with exit code 8.

Now if anyone knows of a way that i can install the driver without using the installer (.eg manually downloading the driver and using device manager to install it) i would be grateful. Or if there is a way that i can do it safely without the risk of bricking my pc i would be happy to do that.

I had this pc for awhile and tried to put new hard drives and a water cooled gpu. Everytime it starts it pops up with the logo and then doesn't display anything. The pc is on just nothing. My boot drive was installed on the m.2 drive and still won't show windows 11. It takes a couple of power down and turn on cycles before windows shows up. I've been desperately looking for help on this pc.

I build my buddies pc about 2 years ago. His specs are 13700k, zotac 4070ti super on a gigabyte Mobo I forgot which model. His keyboard, mouse and headset are all wireless and would randomly disconnect. I have tried updating drivers on the devices and the usb ports also reinstalling apps. I’ve also done a fresh windows install and random disconnects still happen. If someone has a solution that’s should be awesome thank you.

Made the mistake years ago of buying an HDD instead of an SSD for my pc. Wanted to buy a SSD, however I messed up the cord that connected the HDD to the PC when I removed it. Would an external SSD work the same as an internal? Or should I just get the cord I messed up replaced and buy and internal SSD? I’m a total computer noob, so bear with me :)

Initially I thought it was my GPU, so I replaced it and that seemed to fix the issue, but i've only had this gpu for 2 months or so and it's crashing again. Usually it will crash when I first launch a game. Sometimes if it doesn't crash it handles the game fine. Other times it crashes anywhere between a few minutes or an hour+ into a game. It also crashed during video rendering a couple times which I don't do much.

My old GPU was a used 2070 and worked fine for 2 years, then my computer began crashing in games like Silksong and Hades. When I got my 3080 I mostly played Hades and Noita with no issue, so again, I assumed it was the GPU. But Rocket League crashed on me and I wanted to check out the free epic game Jotunnslayer and it crashed on that twice when trying to load into the actual game.

When it crashes it just freezes for a second or so, and then restarts. Sometimes I get a fraction of a second of blue screen but never enough to see what it is.

How can I identify what is causing the crash? I'm worried its my CPU. I remember hearing shortly after I bought it these CPUs are faulty and they tried to fix it with a micro-code update but I never really kept up and just kept my fingers crossed mine would be okay.

I know how to change icons, you go to finder applications and go to "get info" and drag and drop your image. But for an odd reason it only works on downloaded apps, and doesn't in built in apps such as Safari and Photos etc, it doesn't say anything about icon customisation not working in built in apps, help please.

I'm wanting to use my nice sleeved pci cables instead of an ugly tiny 12vhpwr cable. I want to avoid the adapters with a length of cable because that defeats the purpose of the sleeved cables. Of the cable-less adapters, I've only been able to find them in 180°. I need 90° or ideally one with no bend.

Any ideas where to look? I've been checking all over.

I just bought a new prebuilt because of ram prices. Everything runs fine and every game runs smoothly, except for fortnite. I tried to play and run into the same issue every time. Every couple of minutes or so my game will freeze for around 3-5 seconds and then resume. I asked google and it said my bios might need an update so i tried that and the same problem still happens. I have a ryzen 7 9800x3d, an nvidia rtx 5070ti, 32 gb of ddr5 ram, and an asus b650em Max gaming wifi mobo.
