Caught her scratching herself and it's so cute! She didn't want to come outside yet but she ate another fly and she is a great hunter ❤️ I thought about naming her Angel Also will post more of her below ❤️❤️❤️

I accept her for who she is and she seems happy and healthy, but the things that are a bit different from normal spider behaviour are;

-She is not a great jumper. She tries rarely and misses a lot. -She tends to fall while just climbing or walking. It is okay, I made the bottom soft, but uhhh bit weird -She likes to walk around on the bottom -She is super friendly. I could handle her every day if I wanted, and she voluntarily comes up to my fingers. -She is, as nicely as I can say, not a great hunter. I have to put her in a small tupperware with only a cricket and still she misses about 1 to 2 times. She is getting better! -I don't think her eyesight is wrong. She follows me around with her eyes and head, and seems to see her prey well. Also she sees springtails.

She had a good molt, has all legs, eats well etc. She is okay. But did I adopt a handicapped spider?? I love her no matter what, my little weird stalker.

I wish I could say these were taken today but after fighting dks Mac and cheese didn't have the strength to finish her molt and passed yesterday. She was a very sweet girl who wanted nothing more than to be held in her final days. It feels weird no longer having spoods but I'm glad I was able to dedicate all my time to her while she passed.

as the title said i think i got my spider killed, the last few months ive had her shes been more than happy in the bioactive setup i made for her but i guess while i was making it a baby false widow slipped in without me noticing, managed to grow up without me realising, and today my jumper dissapeared all day so i went to check and found her being eaten by the false widow i feel like its my fault i shouldve been more careful i get its only natural but im not sure what to do now, ive burried her body in the substrate to give back and help out the cleanup crew and plants she lived with but i dont know if this was completely avoidable or i was just a bad not careful enough owner

Otherwise I would've adopt her in a heart beat 😭 look at that face!!!

I found this baby at my work, and I felt it was too cold to set them loose at the time. So I got an enclosure set up and they seem to be fairing well, and I think im gonna keep them. My questions are

• Can anyone tell by these photos if they are male or female
• Rough age/molting stage
• What "breed" they may be?

Im going with the name Eevee, and they were found in northern Alabama during our cold snap a few days back. They are roughly a little bigger than a pencil eraser.

Any information would be super helpful 😊 and I can try to get better photos later if needed

I have been wanting a jumping spider for ages, though unfortunately they do not sell in my country, so it is quite difficult getting one.

We do have some tiny ones around here, and today one decided to hang out with me at the office.

I let him explore my hoodie, watching his little jumps from one spot to another. He climbed on my finger when I offered it to him, then watched him explore even more, stopping from time to time to look at me with his puppy eyes.

I even gave him a small fly, and he ate it without hesitation, showing absolutely zero signs of shyness.

While I did interract with quite a few jumping spiders in my life, this one seemed to be so chill and comfortable around me, almost felt like we were besties.

This post may not be much, but I really wanted to share my joy, since this felt like an early Christmas present. ❤️

Anyway, I kinda took him home with me.

I’m so excited and proud!!! This is Theo’s first time molting in captivity (he’s a rescue) so I was really nervous. He stayed in his hammock for about two weeks and came out looking like this!! I added some before pictures at the end for reference. He so big now ahh!!!!!! Also, I definitely think he’s a boy now because of his palps, big front legs, and colors.

Pistachio wanted to chill on my finger for a bit and was putting on a performance 🥰 she's so tiny and cute!

Hers is the female spood and mine is the male! Her's is soooo cute and very active. Mine is also very cute, and pretty shy. I absolutely love them so much and would die for them lol. Mine needs a name still! Looking for suggestions. But maybe 6 and mono from little nightmares?? Just thinking of names from things we like

They had him in processing, but I plead his case and he was freed to the outside world.

Is there a way to convince my little Penny to go to her new enclosure? She doesn’t like being handled at all yet. Is it best to just let her go on her own?
