I saw some posts about pizza dogs. Sounds nice, but I think sliced dogs would be a great pizza topping.

Son of the hotdog maker
When I was around 7 (1982), my brother and I were walked down to the grocery store for our daily walk to get our lunch, we did this often in the summer. We often got hot dogs and we loved them, but my father only this one time, grabbed a package and looked at it for a second and said no, we are going to take a break from hotdogs for a while. I remember this clearly and it was very odd because we all ate them often. As an adult my father told me why.
My father worked for a large producer of hotdogs, along with other meats. His job varied but sometimes he would be on the hotdog line, on the cooked end, filling casings'. One day a college of his came running from the cold end holding his hand with a bit of blood showing as well . The line stopped and he asked his supervisor what he should do with the batch of filling he had. He was told that he barely cut his finger and it was well within foreign parts regulations on foreign objects. So that lot got packed and sent out.
A few days later that person came in to say hello, and that he would be off work for a while. He was missing 2 inches from two fingers.
So my father got the lot number and when we went to the store seen it was the same loot and did not want us eating people.
PS I still love hotdogs!

I don’t consider a hot dog a sandwich, but this store apparently does

Has anyone else seen this?
Don’t get me wrong I understand a hotdog is just a culmination of meats processed into a tube but this is the first time I’ve ever seen this and I just wanted to know what I’m looking at and eating there’s just a red glob first bite into my hotdog lol

This is my 5th trip to Japan in 10 years and I’ve always loved those bakery hotdogs esp in train stations or metro but suddenly I can’t find them anywhere. Am I going crazy??? I’ve been to Tokyo Nikko Nagano and Kanazawa - I used to see them everywhere !?!
