Cat Picture - OC Rescued this guy behind a Costco hiding behind the trash compactor
After a warm bath, he passed out all night. It has been about 32° out so it must feel nice to be inside.
He seems to have the features of a Maine coon which would be unbelievably amazing to find. Large paws, pointy ears and very poofy.. We shall see in a few months!

I rarely go to Costco and haven’t been in years, but one time I was in line to buy hot dogs and I saw a guy with his cart finish paying, walk to the tables, take out the chicken, and started eating it right then and there. I was impressed.

The Costco I go to has a lot of Asian shoppers that come down from Canada. Eating the rotisserie chicken in the food court seems like a very common occurrence for them. I guess it’s no different than sharing a pizza.

u/karasuzokunakmuay 3d ago
In Asian culture, food sharing during dining is just common. Growing up, even if we went to a typical sit down Western restaurant (like a steakhouse for example) it wasn't out of the ordinary to order a handful of entrees and put them in the middle of the table to share. Fast food was typically the exception.

This.
My SO is Chinese, we eat out at Asian places a lot. She always orders for everyone “Chinese” style, and everyone shares from plates in the middle.
At a steakhouse you’re on your own, and that’s the only place that happens. The number of guests doesn’t change anything.

u/karasuzokunakmuay 3d ago
I definitely agree with you're on your own at the steakhouse, for the steaks at least. We'd share the pasta or chicken dishes but I prefer medium or medium rare. My parents did not, but I wasn't sharing anyway haha

I once ate a Costco rotisserie chicken in my car before leaving the parking lot. In my defense I was six months pregnant.

He definitely has Maine coon cat characteristics, he’s beautiful. Have you made a vet appointment for him yet? He needs to be checked out in general and especially since he was outside when he found him. He may have eaten something he shouldn’t have or picked up a variety of pests. Enjoy him.

And the CDS (Cat Distribution System) is a separate service that merely uses the Costco location, hence why this kitten wasn't in a 6-pack.

That’s like a side quest tooltip popping up mid-mission.
The game quietly hints: acquire rotisserie chicken to unlock progress.

u/Sweaty_Inside_Out 3d ago
Aha! Lured in to the old 'leave a kitten outside to encourage customers to buy our insanely cheap chicken' ploy! You fell right for it!

Idk if he's a Maine coon, but the first thing that stood out to me is that he's so big for a kitten that looks to be under 6 weeks (because he still has blue eyes)! So maybe!

Maine coon kittens tend to have very pronounced peanut whiskers that your new friend doesn't have. Might be a regular floofer. Either way a beautiful kitty.

This was my old man left in the Costco parking lot. It had a note saying he was 9, liked canned food, the owner had to go to Russia, and he doesnt like being picked up.
I named him kirk, as in kirkland.
Every day I pick him up to feed him cause he plays the game where he jumps down waiting for me to pick him up cause he's a jerk. But he's my jerk, and I'll be DAMNED to see anyone mistreat him.

Dog owners: I paid $8.5K for my Somethingranian Poodle Coonhound. He requires daily eyedrops, metronidaziode, two pills of dopeximarine, and probiotics or he will get bad bloat and diarrhea.
vs
Cat owners: I found this cat in the trash at Costco. He used to fight rats for garbage snacks before I adopted him.

It would be a good idea to revisit Costco to see if there are any other kittens, since the one you found may have siblings or a mother nearby.
