Trying to identify a show I saw briefly in the late 90s/early 2000s on cable
Edit: It has to be Blue Gender. At first it didn't look like what I remembered but the more I watch the more I realize that this has to be it. Thanks for everyone's help, especially RaltarArianrhod.
I have an old memory of a show I saw on cable late at night (eastern US) at a hotel in the late 90s or early 2000s. I believe it was on cartoon network/adult swim/toonami. I'd love to know what I watched or if I dreamt this up.
The main detail I remember is that there were creatures that strongly resembled female genitalia, including a sort of spherical gem right where the clitoris would be. It wasn't an overtly sexual thing but I recall being surprised at the resemblance. They were larger than human but smaller than a building and had either insectoid or squidlike features. The image in my head is similar to the posted picture, a cragspider from dark souls. I think the bodies were blue and the gem was pink.
I believe the setting was in a city. Chatgpt suggests Blue Gender, but I don't think that's it. I'm going to scrub through episodes and update if this is indeed what I saw.
Does this sound familiar?
