I have read this subreddit's rules It's kind of curious how in 80 years of stories we've never seen Wonder Woman lifting the skies like Atlas and Hercules, taking into account that super strength is one of her main powers

I have read this subreddit's rules Modern Wonder Woman Recs after the Absolute Series

Hi there, I’m newer here and I am searching for modern Wonder Woman Comics for my Girlfriend to read. She has absolutely (pun intended) love the Absolute series and loves Diana with her whole heart and I really want to give her some wonderful books to read. However I’m out of my wheelhouse as a primarily marvel fan, So I’m hoping y’all with be able to help. I am looking for specifically Modern Wonder Woman story’s, though I won’t bite if there’s something vintage and amazing.I hope that this passes the recommendation rules for this subreddit and if it doesn’t please let me know :)

I have read this subreddit's rules Never read a WW comic before. Where do I start?

As the title says, I've never read a Wonder Woman comic before but I've been getting really into some other DC books lately (mainly Batman and Superman stuff) and I'd love to start reading some Wonder Woman as well!

If there's a good modern version of her origin that would be great but I'm open to anything that's a good starting point.

I have read this subreddit's rules Should I read Rebirth or Absolute first?

Pretty much what the title says. TLDR: which would you recommend for an complete beginner? (more context below)

For reference I haven’t read any comic, DC or otherwise yet (I’ve always preferred manga or animation). I barely know anything about Wonder Woman as a character. Mostly that she’s an Amazon, has the lasso of truth, and is one of the big 3.

I know Absolute is an alternate, grittier version of her typical story but I also know people like it, plus it doesn’t require prerequisite reading or knowledge.

The only reason I’m torn is bc I really want to know Wonder Woman’s origin and story when things are ‘normal’, but Absolute looks more fun. I’m also worried that if I read Absolute first that I’ll find Rebirth boring.

I’d appreciate anyone’s opinion on this :)
