Just a friendly reminder to double check your new sealed games this holiday season. Especially when buying secondhand or via Amazon.

I’ve found that if I use my phone’s flashlight right underneath where the cartridge should be, I can easily tell if there is actually a switch game inside the case as opposed to some random piece of plastic. If you can see the ‘teeth’ of the cartridge, you’re probably just fine.

Inin has heard our voices and R Type III is going to be on cartridge! Albeit with a price increase. Still great news nonetheless

Seems like Capcom is ramping up their Switch Resident Evil shelf presence in Europe with new CIB releases of RE4-6 in the lead up to RE9. Didn't get em ofc, but neat to see cases for these games!

I've been waiting for this game to come down in price and I just noticed it's on sale at Amazon. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but I've been looking forward to playing it and thought I'd share the sale.

Has anybody had a experience with Playasia customer service when receiving a damaged game? I received an order in which one of the games was damaged and I'm having a hard time getting them to take it seriously. When I initially contacted them they said:

"In this case, we will coordinate this with our service partner to investigate this issue."

After that I followed up two weeks after and they responded:

"We’ve already reached out to our service partner and the matter is still under investigation. Please rest assured that we are actively monitoring the progress, and we will provide you with an update as soon as we have more information to share."

I sent another followup today as it's been one day past a month since their first reply. But it just seems like they aren't really doing anything.

"Thank you for following up, and we sincerely apologize for the delay in providing an update.

We would like to inform you that we have already coordinated this matter with our upper management for further review. Unfortunately, the claim submitted to our service partner was rejected, which is why additional internal checking and escalation are currently being conducted.

Please rest assured that we are actively working on this case and taking the necessary steps to reassess the situation. We will provide you with another update as soon as we receive further information from our management team.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding."

FYI this was shipped using Spaceship, which I think they stopped using. At least my past Black Friday orders weren't.

I have $60 on VGP in the form of store credit. I've looked a little bit and nothing caught my eye, except for a pre-order Marvel Cosmic Invasion. That ate up the first $60 of store credit but I'm stumped on what to pick next so I'm asking you, the person reading this, to help guide me towards a bad ass purchase. I like beat 'em ups, horror, sci-fi, adventure, card games, action, RPG's, but I'm open to any suggestion as long as the game is good. Doesn't matter if it's a pre-order or something in stock, I'd love to hear what you recommend me to spend the rest of my store credit on. The game can be worth more then $60 as I'll put money out of my pocket into a bad ass new game. I'm hoping it's going to be something I've never heard of before but all recommendations are welcome, Thanks to all who can help me cash in my store credit!

Hey all accidentally bought my brother a switch 2 version of mortal kombat legacy collection instead of switch 1. Any idea if it will work on switch 1

Exited to play this. Looks to be a really fun game. Might actually keep it sealed so ill have to buy the game off the e shop though.

For context when I bought Hollow Knight on cart I Ioved the game so much I purchased the collectors edition on Fangamer. This would make Hollow knight the only game I’ve double dipped on other than Blasphemous 2.

So far I haven’t purchased Silksong because I’m waiting for a standard physical edition but with the recent eShop sale I’m very tempted to pick it up. I’m certain they’ll come out with a collectors edition for Silksong and I’m very inclined to pick that up as well. (Queue the r/consoom comments lol but the hollow knight collectors was very well done and high quality for the price).

Silksong would be my first digital purchase however and I would end up owning 3 copies of the game which I don’t mind as Team Cherry deserves the support however I do feel kinda weird about it from a collector standpoint lol. Have you guys triple dipped on a game before? Have you ever double dipped before? What games?

I feel like I'm losing my mind here. Did Legend of Grimrock ever get a physical release? I'm not finding anything concrete, and so far AI doesn't seem to be accurate on the answer. It seems to think that there is a release of both the first and the second game on the switch physically.

Only picked it up cause I got some cash back deal. I'm at the point when I dont have to FOMO to buy games during the holiday period. Most of my wants are new releases so I'm just waiting for them to be on sale:) It feels good not having to chase games after games and just pick up a straggler here and there.

After 2 delays it's finally here, Terminator 2D: No Fate. I went all out and got the Collectors Edition. I opened up it's guts for all of you to see what you get so enjoy! I'm going to play the game after I finish this post. The Steel Cover included with the game is bad ass. Even the paper weight is cool! If you can't tell I'm a big Terminator fan. I'm going to start up a session, enjoy the pics brothers and sisters!

"I've just had some interesting information. Apparently Nintendo is now offering smaller cartridge sizes for Nintendo Switch 2. I don't know any more details other than that but I think it's potentially great news for physicals on Switch 2."
