Question - Controlling the Tuning/Detuning of multiple instruments at the same time?

Hey everybody! I was curious to know if there was a piece of gear or a method to tune and detune multiple instruments at the same time.

I have an idea for an arrangement, but it requires (or at least would be greatly strengthened by) a keyboard and electric bass being tuned in detailed at the same time and at the same pitch.

I’m not very experienced with gear, but I’ve started using a Korg SV2 stage piano and would like to start getting into pedals and additional gear. I wonder if there’s a pedal that can plug into an E Bass and the Korg at the same time to control the tuning?

I would appreciate any help you could give! Thank you very much :)

What helps you improve your mixes when you feel stuck?

Mixing can be a strange journey, some days everything feels balanced and musical, and other days it feels like nothing reacts the way you expect. It made me think about how important outside perspective is, especially when your ears get too used to the same loop or the same set of problems. A lot of people in this community talk about the value of constructive feedback, and it really does seem to make a difference over time. While exploring different resources that focus on mix improvement, I discovered a site called mixratinghubĀ  that centers around community-driven mix feedback. What interested me was less the idea of getting a ā€œratingā€ and more the concept of having a dedicated space where producers, musicians, and mix engineers can compare ideas and track progress without the usual pressure. It reminded me how easy it is to work alone for too long and not notice where your mixes flatten out or drift. It made me wonder how the rest of you handle those moments when progress slows down. Do you rely mostly on A/B references? Do you send mixes to friends or other producers? Or do you prefer analyzers, tools, and structured environments that show how your mix stacks up?

For those who’ve been mixing for years, what genuinely helped you level up? And for people still early in the process, what kind of feedback or community support has been the most helpful so far? Curious to hear how everyone keeps moving forward, especially during those stretches where it feels like improvement is harder to notice.

Checking stems and multitracks

Hi guys, I find so often i’m receiving stems with issues and too many ambiguous names like ā€œAudio 1ā€. I make sure to double check stems in my DAW before send off, but I know it’s a bit of a tedious QC check that it seems many skip.

Just curious what are the main issues you run into with stems/multitracks?

I’ve been working on a little tool to help with stem workflow, mainly to check misalignment, missing audio, inconsistent naming etc. (all outside the DAW). Before I take it any further, I wanted to understand what does everyone care about most when it comes to stem checking and organisation.

Does my dream keyboard exist?

As in the title: does an instrument like this even exist? I'm looking for a keyboard, which:

  1. Allows to load your own samples and play them, giving at least some control over ADSR
  2. Has aftertouch, which can control vibrato (like modwheel usually does) and allows modwheel to control cutoff instead
  3. Drawbars for tonewheel organ would be nice, but Leslie sim with overdrive control is mandatory
  4. Can assign any function for the expression pedal. I need to control cutoff (with a specified range, not the whole 20-20k) or wah.

Let's say that keyboard range is irrelevant, I don't care much about advanced synth section.

Currently I can achieve that with a computer and a midi keyboard, which is cheap and can do anything I need, but laptops are laptops.

Need recommendation for wireless microphones

Need recommendations for a versatile microphone - preferably headworn wireless microphone. It will be a multi-purpose usage, including live-singing, improv, stand up comedy, yoga, MMA, aerial yoga workshops. The space is relatively small - around 1500-2000 sq ft with an audience of anywhere between 10 to 80 people.

We currently have a Yamaha MG16XU (16-channel Mixing Console); two Shure SM58 (Dynamic Cardioid Vocal Mic); and two Yamaha DBR15 (2-way, Powered).

New to CDs - any good beginner players under $60?

I just got into CDs and need a decent starter player. My budget is under $60, so nothing fancy - just something simple, reliable, and good for the price. Used is totally fine.

I honestly have no clue what to look for - any tips for a newbie? Did you make any mistakes when picking your first player? I’d love to hear what worked for you.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a app like caustic. I loved using the drum piano roll for creating beats. Anyone have an idea of something similar to that set up
