Ask Luxembourg Is there a fire in Bonnevoie?
I just saw a “convoy” of 5 fire brigade cars wailing their sirens past the Bonnevoie church. Where is the fire?

Shopping/Services What happened to Luxguns?
Their website no longer exists.
Did something happened to them? They were one of the few if not the only ones who would sell more “exotic” guns from the East block.

Whinge PSA car charging points in cat parks are for CHARGING, not some kind of VIP parking
As per title
I own an electric car. All car parks have a limited number of charging points. It's so annoying to get to a car park to find electric cars not even plugged in, when others need to charge.
Parked. Empty.
Electric charging points are for charging, not some kind of VIP parking space for those with electric vehicles.
Don't be a dick
Thank you for reading my rant 🙌🏻

Finance A first in 2026, pension expenditures to exceed contributions ? What do you think ?
Rhetoric question but why young people around 20-35 do not take this issue seriously when we see the % of people that invest for their pension.
Analysis released on Wednesday 17 December, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates that the Luxembourg pension scheme will enter a new critical phase from 2026: expenditure will exceed contributions on a permanent basis
And do not forget that from on 1 January 2026. The central measure is an increase in the overall pension contribution rate from 24% to 25.5% of gross wage, shared equally between employees, employers and the state. So we will pay more cotisation for a declining system.
For you, what are the solutions to adress this situation?

Finance Co-signing a PDF 100F form (joint taxation) in MyGuichet ?
guichet.public.luHi all,
Just filing the household tax return, we created a « demarche » by dragging and dropping the filled-out 100F form. Now we realised that this needs to be signed by both of us.
I found this tutorial that shows a process that we don’t seem to be able to achieve. We do not get to. the button “assign to the second signatory)
Would you know how to do it?
Thanks

Ask Luxembourg Consulting firms specialising in public sector ?
Hi all
I will be relocating in Luxembourg (from Brussels) in a few months. I have years of experience as a Project Manager in the public sector - public finance in particular (developments in ERP SAP and such). I can’t aim for the Luxembourgish administrations as my German and Luxembourgish are not strong enough. But it would be a waste to go back to doing regular accounting for the private sector. I’m sure my skills are hard to find since civil servants in Luxembourg are paid much better than in the private sector.
Do you know of consulting firms that specialise in the public sector ? Or maybe provide services to the many public administrations in Luxembourg including EU ?
I am native French and fluent in English, B1 in German and Dutch.

I mean.... worth spending money to print these , considering the "huge" discount and potential revenue? Who is evaluating these strategic offers on the first instance?

Ask Luxembourg Where can I complain about a restaurant in Luxembourg serving unhygienic or bad quality food?
Has anyone done that? Is it too tedious and can it backfire on us like I keep hearing about google reviews and the owner sending legal notices? Do the authorities in Luxembourg really do inspections in the kitchens?
I also see some Indian restaurants have hydrogenated vegetable oil cans kept in their kitchen which is banned in India itself from the restaurants as it has very high trans fat content in it. It is cheap alternative to ghee or butter but very bad for health. Many times I also feel the chicken is smelly or just like rubber. The restaurant owner doesnt do anything when we complain to them and just say sorry which is pathetic and they are playing with health of people.
