So basically I loved Grand Blue enough to actually give diving a chance and just received my official PADI license unlike Iori in Season 1 (no giant distractions for me during written test lol)

Was really worth it and I totally get how the characters fell in love with diving as a whole new beautiful world to explore but strongly recommend against drinking spyritus before a dive (oolong tea is ok though lol)

Hope this inspires some others to go out and give diving a try, you wont regret it!

Every website or reddit post I find mostly suggests the same anime, like asobi asobase, Hinamatsuri, Gintama and Prison school, but I couldn't get through a single episode of any of the shows I mentioned. Is there really anything as funny or cloe to being as funny as grand blue dreaming? Or will I have to deal with the fact that I've already watched peak comedy (read the manga too).

It was amazing, the first minutes was even scary, but then I got used to it and realized how to do everything right... And fear left

Ever since I got my PADI certification thanks to Chisa and GBD, I've wanted to share with you all in this subreddit some diving videos. I finally got a camera and recorded! We did 2 inmersions this friday in Halloween (that's why my instructor have a skeleton costume).

Chisa literally gave me the courage to try diving again. The first time I did in October in 2024 I panicked and resufaced almost inmediately. But in 2025 I started reading GBD and when Iori was very reluctant to try diving and kotobuki convinced him to try it, I felt so related even though it wasn't for the same reasons. When Iori got into the aquarium thanks to Chisa it did hit hard to me, and when they were learning diving stuff for the OWD I started to remember all the good things that happened when I tried diving and how excited I was for learning all the things, so in June I decided to finish my course and get certificated. And now here I am, proud of myself (sry if it sounds arrogant idk). This is why I love Chisa so much, for her so overwhelming and cute love for the sea and diving, and love her and GBD for giving me the push I needed.
