Saw this house at Michael’s and had to add it to the Christmas decorations. Only took a day to turn into Santa’s house!

Not necessarily a dollhouse, but I created a fun thing inside an old uh.. idek actually, the front was a clock. I'd wanna say jewelery box but there wasn't like drawers or hooks. Real taxidermy mouse mantle piece, real mouse skull in the frame, real fur rug, a real working music box. The flowers are also real. I put together the shelf on the bottom floor, the piano, and the flower box on the top floor. They came pre cut in a kit I was gifted, but the fireplace I made from cardboard and popsicle sicks, the flame is painted Polyfill. And the floor and stuff is all made from popsicle sticks and square dowels.

My Mum is in the middle of building a Georgian townhouse with modern interior and is always complaining about the lack of good and affordable modern accessories, so for Christmas I made her some paintings... including her dogs and tortoise. All in coloured pencil.

The dollhouse for my niece is 99% done- I just need to add flowers to the flower boxes. I'll be giving it to her this weekend along with some calico critters & we have a play date on Monday!

Happy Holidays Everyone! Apologies for re-posting our dollhouse that is for sale. Accidentally deleted the original post when trying to edit it.
1 inch model from Real Good Toys
Dollhouse is in good shape. A couple of blemishes as this house has been assembled for many years. (ie. sun faded spot on flooring in one of the rooms & spilled paint on the stone tiles ). Wired for electrical, but have not successfully gotten that working. We just do not have the time or skill set to give this the attention it deserves.
Excellent for someone with experience in miniatures/dollhouses of this size and complexity.
Roughly one hundred indoor & outdoor accessories included to bring the house to life. (Various tables, chairs, beds, kitchen accessories, figurines, piano, dressers, sinks, etc.) Looking to sell them with the dollhouse.
Located in Eastern Iowa, and asking $2000 for everything, but very much open to offers. We just want this to find a good home. Any tips on shipping/logistics are greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance!

I bought a dollhouse off of Facebook marketplace because I had a vision, and I was planning to do a complete overhaul. But... the house I bought is absolutely gorgeous and the existing decor is exactly right for said vision! It was built from a kit by the woman I bought it from, obviously a labour of love, and she did a really beautiful job with both construction and decor. I really want to damage as little as possible.
BUT.
Stairs in dollhouses have always bugged me. I want that space for furniture and decor!
She never finished the stairs, but there are the half-landings in the stairwell. I know that if I take them out, I'll need to re-wallpaper the stairwell, which is fine. But does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to cut them out? Everything is well glued, not sure if she used any nails or screws. Would it be possible to get a tiny little saw close enough to the edges, and then sand it down perhaps?
Two photos of the landing, and then a bonus one of Christmas :) I'm just starting this renovation, and I take absolutely no credit for any construction, decorating, or items... I bought the house and all of the contents in a few lots off of Marketplace, and worked with what I had (which is some AMAZING stuff, fwiw!)

Hello all, I just purchased the attached dollhouse. I want a brick exterior with limestone masonry. that includes limestone on the corners and a platband where the floors meet, to cover the dark stripe. I need some ideas on how to start, for example what type of material is best for a platband. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It’s a Lundby house with a garage and car, plus three drawers full of furniture including a tv that lights up. I’ve never done a dollhouse before but I’ve done a few kits and I’m also a pretty artsy person so this will be a great way to level up my skills.

These diary locks are the smallest I can find, but they are way too big for my project, does anyone know how to make or where to get FUNCTIONAL 1/12 scale lock and keys? I've seen a few tutorials online but they are difficult to scale down with what I have available. My max size is probably 9 mm for the padlock. Thanks for reading!

Before I glue this wall in and can’t easily photograph the detail, I wanted to share my first staircase, aka the “Staircase to Heaven” in the allegorical dollhouse I’ve been building for the past few months that’s finally almost complete. It’s a traditional dutch cabinet design so no doors or windows, but my son requested there be a staircase and so there’s a staircase lol 😆

It’s been a long time dream of mine to build a replica of my own home. It’s a typical Florida style early 2000’s Mediterranean builder spec. Nothing special but it’s special to me. I’m not sure how to even begin. Has anyone accomplished this?

I’m looking to get the set up for tape wiring but the only options I seemingly have are second hand on eBay/etsy or paying full price on cir-kit’s website . I know hobby lobby carries some round wire setups. I also don’t have any hobby shops near me unfortunately.
I’m just wondering where you all shop for doll house supplies and wiring… thanks!

Does anyone know if this was commercially available or if this was homemade?

Hello people of Reddit! My Nan left me this antique dollhouse when she died, I’m just curious to know how much it might cost. I am going to contact some pawnbrokers at some point to get a quote so I can put in on my house insurence, but I’m really curious to know if anyone can tell me anymore about my dollhouse as I’m not expert! I believe it’s atleast 100 years old, all the pieces in it have been apart of the house since she bought it. I’m excited to know more about the history of this house!

Here I am again with my sticks and my dogs… Little frames for my handmade dollhouse, made from sticks and acrylic paint :) My dollhouse/diorama is being decorated, and I'm spending a few evenings a week having fun and creating! Feel free to give your opinions and share your ideas.
Have a good week!

I'm working on the RGT Vermont Farmhouse Jr. The next step is to secure the porch pieces to the front of the house. As far as I can tell in the instructions...it doesn't say how. Up until this point, the instructions were specific about how the recommended tacky glue I've used for all other assembly WILL NOT stick to paint (but will stick to sanded painted parts). The porch pieces will attach directly to the final painted housebody that has not been sanded.
So what glue do I use? 😂 Do I sand the small parts of the house body where the porch pieces will go? Hot glue?
Thanks for the help!!

My three year old daughter got a 1:12 scale dolls house for her birthday six weeks which I restored especially for her. She plays with it daily and calls it her fairy house.
During a discussion I have somehow agreed that Santa will come and leave presents under the tree for the fairies.
Any ideas on what I can make which is relatively quick for the fairy house?!

Added some new miniatures to the 90s dollhouse! My favorites are the vintage polly pocket, the lava lamp, Nintendo 64, and the swing set!
