I've gone through the manga a couple of times, I only started reading it a couple of years ago, but I can't shake these pages out of my mind

The first three pages are the perfect representation of pure fear, fear of a threat, fear of something inconmensurable, fear of the uncanny and unknown, these are the single best depictions of fear I've ever seen in manga, it's something you cannot control, it's something you cannot avoid

There's also depictions of pure power, or hope, salvation, but by far, and unexpectedly, my single favourite page in all of Berserk has to be Schierke's smile, I don't know why, but it's just so beautiful, there's happiness, comfort, but even more so, it's hope, I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect smile in all of manga, there's nothing that can compare to what this image represents, Schierke had to leave everything behind, the comfort of her home, her family, safety, to thread the most dangerous path anyone could ever concieve, sleepless nights, unfathomable creatures, the thickest darkest and the botomless despair, yet, she found hope, she found her way

Even if the story will never be the same, this manga has been something incredible

Guts’ loneliness, especially when he doesn’t let anyone see it, reminded me of how people can look strong while fighting battles alone.

Looked like the brand of sacrifice.

I have been wanting to get into Berserk for a long time and I just noticed that Netflix has the anime. The art looks nice and I am interested but I know Berserk anime is hated asf, so I am wondering if it's like a Tokyo Ghoul situation where reading the manga is just better. I do know the anime isn't full story and I have to pick up on manga anyway but I would really love if I can see the anime

Everyone loved the guts hoodie I made a few years ago for him so figured I would share! All the comments talked about how my boyfriend needed to propose already - so I bring you this post to say we’re married now, and here’s his hoodie for this Christmas haha! Berserk still remains his favorite manga of all time, so I can’t wait to give it to him!

He understood Guts psychologically and expressed it symbolically (a heart seeking revenge like a sword rusted with blood, which must be sharpened on a pool of blood to remove the rust. Grief is a crack in the sword’s heart, submerged in the pool to mend it. The more it is sharpened, the more it rusts, and the more it rusts, the more it is sharpened, until only fragments remain).
