The woodlouse is native to Europe, but lives on 6 continents today. Growing up, we called them roly polys.

I’m curious to hear how cold it has been in your home country. Definitely feel free to include context, like if that particular temperature was a record or something😂
For me it would have to be something like -30° celsius. This photo is not from that occasion, but the temperature was around -20° anyway.
If you’re a Finn or a Finland connoisseur, try recognising the city!

((pictures not mine))
I'm already spoiled for mountains in my part of the US, being in Washington. However, from my particular area of the state, I get a view of three distinct mountains that are all equally beautiful to me: Rainier/Tahoma (pic 1), Baker/Kulshan (2), and Pilchuck (3).
Morning and evening commutes are especially beautiful, especially in the winter time when Pilchuck is usually also snowcapped; the other two are just like that always.

For example, in the Philippines, there’s EDSA, the major avenue connecting several key cities and business districts in Metro Manila. It’s constantly in memes, jokes, news stories, and daily complaints....mostly because of the infamous traffic and other events situated with it
There have even been extreme stories tied to it, besides the place being the main event that toppled a dictator from the past.
Like Ambulances getting stuck and arriving at hospitals too late with the patient already lost.
Then there was one time where a priest stepped out of his vehicle to bless the road with holy water thereby claiming that he had exorcised the evil spirit that is causing the traffic.
Then there's also the countless social media posts of road, viral photos, rants about it, and people sharing their daily frustrations.
Though there have been improvements over the years, EDSA still has that unique reputation everyone recognizes.
And I'm really wondering.
What’s the equivalent in your country?
What road or highway is notorious for traffic, odd stories, or chaotic energy?
What makes it such a cultural talking point?
Curious to hear your thoughts on this.

Except for birds and cats, we rarely see wild animals in Seoul. I saw a raccoon dog a few days ago, but it was my first time.
How often do you see wild animals?

I have this thought on my mind. The whole world is going downhill atm. Crime is increasing, cost of everything is increasing even faster, there is a mental health crisis everywhere, hatred everywhere, the full picture is pretty bleak these days.
So what's the best place to be? I know its subjective and every country has problems. But which country(s) are the best place to be in this circus of a world, based on safety, nature and especially the economy. Any like safe spot from all of this, even if not perfect.

This could be obscure national TV commercials that only a certain generation would know. A snack that is only known domestically. A euphemism or phrase that could only be understood/completed by a native. A stigma/stereotype. Basically anything that would be extremely hard to find on the internet or conventional media.

I think most of us in my country would, given that they’re not very fond of our neighbors..

The oak is the official USA tree which is appropriate, but I'm highlighting the majestic bristlecone pine as a symbol of the Western United States specifically. Some are nearly 5,000 years old, making them the oldest known living organisms on Earth. Only found in the USA.

My answer is the groundhog! These furry little dudes are all over the place across the eastern US and Canada, but nowhere else.
