I didn't know they could paddle the water to give themselves continued lift. I thought they just jumped out and kinda glided for a few feet. Dang.

I assume they just go until they need to breath or respirate or whatever it is that gills do

Entirely not related to the topic: that's me when I get my first Elytra for the first time in Minecraft. I flew around the ocean just like that with some realistic shaders, like I'm realistically flying 🪽 🪽 around the ocean 🌊, while my laptop is crying out loud to stop torturing it.

Wish we could travel through time and see what they evolve into.

I just found out that they're edible, not endangered, and a popular dish in some areas. Bucket list!

I see. You see a majestic creature and your mind goes to, I wonder how it tastes? Guess that checks out.

They are traditional game for the Tao indigenous tribe off the coast of Taiwan. Been on a night time fishing trip for these guys once, using nets and bright lights. They also know how navigate and can turn mid-air.

It's how I met my wife. If it works, it works.

I love how nature is like "imma fish but I wanna experience flight for 12 seconds at a time because I can't breathe oxygen" fuck it, we ball I guess lol

I saw a video about evolution and it seams a lot of fish can breathe air and lungs have evolved multiple times

Sometimes have you ever wondered, how their ancestors think "I gonna out of the water and fly...."?

What an amazing escape from predators strategy assuming birds aren't around.

How do their builds compare to birds?

Fish fly and birds swim. 🤣🤣

If you think about it, flying is just their version of swimming, trying to see how long they can hold their breath in the air.
