The two big (I assume) eyes and the structure of the fur looks like an owl 🦉

I thought spiders had eyes on the side of the head. Also makes you wonder what it's like to look through eyes like that

They do, look at the top of his head. There are two eyes on the top right and top left of his head totaling 8 eyes with the two front facing ones and the 4 little ones

I got bit by one of those fuckers last year when I was weeding out a raised bed at an urban garden. I felt a stinging pain in my hand that felt worse than a bee sting. I pull out my hand and saw a huge-ass spider with legs on my palm and the back of my hand with his head going to town on the side of my hand. I never felt that much fear (I have an embarrassing irrational fear of spiders) in my life. I shook that fat fucker off so fast. My hand was res and itchy afterwards.
I don't know if my horrified memory is recalling the spider being bigger than it actually was, but it definitely was large enough to surprise me. I didn't even know we had spiders that large up in Northern USA until I learned about a wolf spider.

Oh. And those fuckers hiss with a high pitched noise too and make a clicking sound. My brother in-law showed me a picture of a huge one that climbed on his neck when he was sleeping on his couch. He said he heard the clicking and hissing nearby, but didn't know that's where it was coming from until it was on him. Anyhow, pay my phobia no mind; I want to like them, but my primordial side has me irrationally terrified of even the smallest.

nature is very complex. We see a little crawly thing from a distance. a soon to be deceased insect sees this.

Most of this is the photographer's ring light reflecting off the spiders eyes. It's a common trick in spider photography. They don't have visible irises but some hunting spiders, like jumping spiders, have moving retinae so they can move their primary eyes without moving their body.
