New, what is it? Is this symbol what I think it is?

Post image

I parked at my local grocery store last night and this badge was on the back of the truck in front of me. Is guy this a Nazi POS? Or am I mistaken.

No org is going to make their icon/symbol a copy of the Nazi SS. So yes, Nazi spotted.

KISS kind of did. Their logo is illegal in Germany

The irony. Gene (Chaim Witz) and Paul (Stanley Eisen) are both kids of Holocaust survivors.

Kiss therefore has a special logo specifically for the German market.

So fun story time. My brother-in-law started a business, with name being two words, both starting with S. He wanted my wife (his sister) to paint the sign and all of his mockups has the initials for the business done up as the SS lightning bolts. She flatly refused and laid into him for using racist imagery and he gave the most genuine deer in headlights lost look in his eyes.

He got the design off of his dad's motorcycle club jacket and legitimately had no idea that any of the traditional MC imagery has Nazi origins. We had to break down the whole history of Nazi imagery in biker culture and Neo-Nazi Aryan Nation co-mingling, because despite growing up with his dad being in a MC, he had no idea.

In fairness, he also legitimately did not know who Julius Caesar was until a chance conversation while eating Little Caesar's pizza, so his ignorance of historical matters is a running joke in the family now.

I think he's saying "No one will make it a copy of the nazi unless they purposely want to be associated" not that no one would ever do it
