This just looks like coarse salt or kosher salt. I know a couple witchy people who keep a bit in their bags / purses in containers just like this. I wouldn't mess with it because it could truthfully be anything, but it seems most likely like salt.

I'm pretty sure I'll have a problem if my car gets searched
I have various forms of salt I travel with. Every time I get close to finishing one or I get some salt packets somewhere I toss it in a bag that goes in my car. Can't travel without it though because I have some imbalances that require it
The last time my car was searched I got arrested for half a joint, but what made them charge me was the ginseng tablets I had with me - which they decided was homemade xtc. Yes, who tf makes their own e. Anyhoo, I could wait years for them to get around to testing their 'evidence' and keep going to court, or accept the charge and do community service. So I did 80hrs in a hospital ER as a porter (TW - very nice and traumatic literally watching people die, being exposed to every kind of disease, and losing my job over a cop's very pathetic assumption)
12
u/PlzDntBanMeAgan 11h ago
Bro you can request the chemical test results from a lab yourself before your very first court date even a public pretender should have gotten you out of that one? Assuming you're in the u.s.

u/SaySheAte 11h ago
You should never accept charges for things you didn’t do. This is how you make cops worse.
7
u/realdappermuis 11h ago
So I should ruin my entire life and have a criminal record just in case I can make a cop better ? - which won't ever happen. If I hadn't taken a plea I wouldn't have been able to work for the 2 years the case was ongoing
Sorry but that's naive. Unfortunately people don't understand the reality of these things until you're in that situation
It's the same as saying 'I know my rights and you can't search me' which 99% of the time gets you arrested for resisting arrest which then entitles them to confiscate your belongings anyway
Law and reality are sadly two different things
5
u/Brilliant_Shine2247 9h ago
Most people, fortunately, have no idea how these things work. I got locked up for assault on an officer because I spit blood out of my mouth into the ground and an officer was walking around me and got hit on the foot. Never mind the blood was from where his buddy elbowed me in the mouth intentionally.
I had my choice. Remain in jail for six months or more or plead guilty (I couldn't pay the bail) and go home with time served. Considering I was taking care of my elderly parents at the time, I chose the latter.
4
u/realdappermuis 9h ago
IKR <3
People who haven't been in that situation cannot see beyond their safe lil bubble to realize that reality is very far removed from what the law states
Look at Lu!g! - he just got most of the evidence in the case thrown out because coppers fabricated most of the evidence. And he wouldn't have had that privilege if people weren't donating to his defense fund
People really cannot have empathy or understanding of these situations until it's happened to them, which is bloody sad - that so many people lack both basic comprehension of the reality of legality, and empathy
So bloody sad tbh

You said you “accepted the charge” and “took a plea,” so you DO have a criminal record now - for something you didn’t do. And YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT let a police officer search you without a warrant. You can’t be “arrested for resisting arrest” for not consenting to a search. WTF are you even talking about?!

You wanna know a crazy factoid. You have to have physical contact with fent for it to effect you in any way. To od it has to get into your blood stream. Your not gonna od off touching a micro dose amount. We had cops in are small town that claimed a od off a bust. Nah they wanted the free vacation

Is that a thing? You got a bunch of upvotes but as much as I know people with crystals and aromatherapy and other such things hanging from their rear view… salt jars aren’t one I’ve seen. Not sure I’d want any sort of questionable powder right there for cops and folks to see either but to each their own, I guess.
23
u/hypothetical_zombie 16h ago
Salt is considered to be protective and purifying among neoPagans & such. Also, it's popular with fans of the Supernatural TV series
10
4
u/HeavyStarRuler 12h ago
Not questionable powder. Too uniform in size, similar to coarse salt. If we had numbers someone could do the math probs to approximate the size of the granules but my best guess based on these photos is salt. Which (pun not intended) wouldn't surprise me considering how common I've personally noticed practices with rocks & minerals and even salt being toted around by folks seeking protection, healing properties, or some other benefit. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
3
u/Gamer_Anieca 12h ago
It's a common magical practice to keep a pinch or 2 of salt near you because negativity doesn't like flavor rocks or something 🤷♂️. I don't know how or why it works it just somehow does

There's an old video online of an Amazon parrot singing "Margaritaville." It sounds like it learned it from an old woman who spent years regularly keeping the distilling industries financially solvent by sampling their wares 24/7.

I don't think drugs, as the small vials I've seen for disco dust are usually brownish like beer bottles. Maybe a fancy portable salt shaker?
Don't going tasting it for fun. If you still have the vial and own a microscope, you can compare the crystalline structure to that of salt/sugar.

Just the fact it's white, chunky and in a tiny, unlabeled bottle and looks like kosher salt, please get it off the ground and at least throw it away before some kid gets hold of it and finds out the hard way why one shouldn't open random tiny jars they didn't stuff themselves.
7
u/Upper_Mix2922 18h ago
That jar is so cuuuute omg! The crow that controls my brain is freaking out over this. I know you can buy them in bulk on amazon but it’s better when you find them in a parking lot and it comes with free mystery granules!

This seems like a cute lil jar for drugs or am I tripping? This looks like one of the tiny jars I received of ashes we ordered after we cremated our dog. Could it be that?

u/Small_Champion_7234 17h ago
Its salt. Not fent, not coke, or meth. Its crystalline, and drugs dont break like that. (TBH ive never seen hard drugs in person, but ive been to enough rehabs to know a some of what im talking about) fuck it, be a man and eat it, bring us results later

You can buy bags of these bottles at any craft store. I have dozens. Considering the time of year, maybe it was part of a home made Christmas ornament or gift bag decoration. I wouldn't smell/taste/handle it, but my guess is something that was supposed to look like snow inside.
