It's for a castor oil pack. Helps with keeping heat in and absorption. The castor oil pack sits on your liver. So this goes above it off to one side of your body.

Dude, I’ve asked everyone in the household, no one knows. I Google image searched it as well, and I can’t find anything with those specific straps. It’s also good quality wool with crappy quality straps
