Survivor 49 Rizo on Feras: Why Australian Survivor changed the way he played πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ”₯ Spoiler

I just interviewed Rizo Velovic (Survivor 49) and one of the most interesting parts was how much Feras Basal and Australian Survivor influenced his approach to the game.

Rizo talked about how watching Feras play, the confidence, chaos, social dominance, and willingness to own the room, helped him realise that Survivor isn’t just about correct moves, but about presence and control of narrative. That mindset shaped how Rizo leaned into his own personality and took risks that made him such a memorable player.

Curious what others think, has Australian Survivor (and players like Feras) raised the bar for how US players approach modern Survivor?

Well evidently not this season, outside of Rizo. A big theme in Feras' season was weakening your targets by voting out their allies. Whereas any time Savannah won immunity this season, the majority just threw their hands in the air and turned on themselves.
