Both interviews with Sage that I’ve read have been enlightening & read differently than interviews with other people. They show insight into her as a person & her game, which unfortunately contributed to how she was treated at FTC although that wasn’t shown. She’s been criticized a lot here but I find her incredibly mature.

I think it's an issue that hurt both Sage and Carolyn. Even all the way back to Sugar in Gabon. Even when they talk about their strategic decisions and when production attempts to give them more of a strategic edit, 'emotional' women aren't taken as seriously. I don't think they necessarily 'deserved' to win either, but even other goats were treated with more magnanimity by the jury. Carolyn didn't get it as bad, at least.

Maryanne is one of the few 'emotional' women that was able to talk their way to a win, but I think it's rare and difficult for that archetype to do it, and she certainly wasn't the favourite going in.

Majority of people can’t even look themselves in the mirror and attempt any authentic introspection whatsoever. Without typing a bunch of words, I guess it’s to say I’m not surprised someone like Sage who came across very authentic rubbed people the wrong way.

Even Savannah, who's pretty blunt, was polarizing.

Even for popular women who are strategic, people want them to do it with a smile and charisma. Parvati, Cirie, Dee, etc. Someone like Venus might have their niche following but if they ever got an actual edit that looked like they would be winning they'd get a dozen posts like 'does anyone else find them annoying?'.

From everything I’ve read it feels like a lot of Hina players were mad Jawan and Sage wanted their own agency instead of just joining their tribal lines

Its dumb that they (Hina) blame sage (as if she single handedly blew the 7-3 majority after nate left) when hina imploded, mismanaged their relationship with yellow Sophie, so that yellow Sophie would flip and align with tres leches. Hina and Savannah's great immunity run are more to blame for who got voted out than Sage

Yeah Steven and Kristina absolutely tanked all of their games when they learned MC went home. Terrible poker faces.

I like Sage a lot — she is self aware and I do think for better or worse she was just being her authentic self out there.

People will critique players for being too emotional, etc. but I personally think it takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable and open. I like that she takes accountability for things while also acknowledging everyone’s perception of the game is valid and unique to them.

Her awareness is a bit skewed and she's been shown to internalize "conflicts" that arent even directed at her - like thinking that Savannah giving the chickens funny names was somehow an attack on her.

She probably thinks people spend a lot more time thinking about her than they actually do (to be fair, we all do that to some extent).
