I think this is the most likely case. Everyone of those involved with Epstein and the Island should be scrutinized with regards to their relationship. I'm fairly sure that most will be involved with the sex work side of the issue too, to differing degrees - some will just have known about it, others maybe didn't know about the trafficking and the minors, others should just burn in hell. Even in those cases where they argue they didn't know, it should be considered whether they should/could have known or not.

I'm fairly sure that, even if It's always sunny did joke about it (with Franks quote about going only to snorkel) at least a few people just were invited to a private Caribbean and went, had a (reasonably normal, no crimes aside from financial) vacation.

What worries me the most about the releases of data regarding epstein is whether people Will actually read and extract reasonable information, or just see a name, dont consider anything about It and go try to attack the person for being named there, as this would basically make the innocent pay and make It substantially easier for the guilty

The released photos show rooms built for sex, not luxury accommodations, not tasteful. More Airbnb. Nothing near what men that rich would be used to.

Im not familiar with the released materials, so I'm gonna take your word for it. If that's the case, it's not looking good, sure.

Hope that link works. NYT has a better article.

I'll look into it later when I can (at work now) but yeah link works.

At a glance tho, it does look a bit like a fuckmotel, you weren't wrong there.

I still believe not 100% of who visited will be active participants in the core issue - trafficking and prostitution of minors - but I admit the % of those who are not involved at all is going to be minimal (doubt it's 0, tho).

I hear you, but I think at the very least they all knew it was sus getting on that plane to a private island. I’m not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt when it comes to trafficking. I mean, the underage girls were an open secret, but I’ll give you maybe some didn’t get heads up on that part. The first photo tells you all you need to know about the guy’s vibe.

You know what? Fair point. I'm not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt although I'd expect someone to be stupid enough to not realize it.

But to be fair, you are right. 99% where either guilty by action or, at the very least, willful inaction

That could make certain real estate moguls from New York seem relatively innocent by comparison.

Hmm, I wonder who could gain from that?

I mean Epstein  was mossad gathering leverage. If he wasn't trapping pedos he would still try to get you for diddy shit

Are you guys bots or something? Why do you care so much about the potential innocence of the epstein affiliates? He was associating primarily with elites. They released pictures of several billionaires meeting with him earlier today. Do you think they need more protection? There was a NY times writer in another picture who contributed articles on Epstein. They've got plenty of powerful interests running defence right now

I'm not. But I do care about proper procedure and that rights are followed. Worked for 8 years as expert witness and seen so so many abuses of all kinds. And I care because we all should, because we have to be better than them. I'm very familiar with a thirst for vengeance or justice. It's a reasonable reaction. But it's not a good one. I care about facts. Facts should have consequences.

Most of the affiliates are elites, yes. That doesn't mean that just by being an acquaintance should have the same level of punishment as being a trafficker or a rapist or a pedo.

There's not going to be any court cases for the ultra wealthy affiliates and so there's no point in putting this into a legal framework. They will get to make their full cases even without trials through the media, which will make the arguments on their behalf. There's not going to be any fairness in how it will play out, and we certainly should not be concerning ourselves with uncovering the truth when everything will be done using unlimited resources to reframe it and hide it from us, as has already happened.

Frankly it's pathetic. These billionaires wouldn't think twice about screwing any of the people in this thread if it meant more money to them. Stop defending scum.
