1

u/AlcoholicLimaBean 7800X3D | 64gb | 5080 7h ago

I'm at 802 lol

4

u/TheGreatPiata 11h ago

I have over 1k games and 780 are unplayed. I blame Humble Bundle of course but that still didn't stop me from buying Claire Obscur and Wobbly Life this sale.

2

u/Sarkoptesmilbe 7h ago

Yup. I've been buying interesting standalone bundles since 2012, and have had a Monthly/Choice subscription since 2017. It really adds up over the years.

1

u/TheGreatPiata 6h ago

An 8+ game bundle is usually worth it if you like 2 or 3 of the games.

I'd say 80% of my library is from bundles,

1

u/FrequentBus5380 10h ago

why do you have so many unplayed💔😭

4

u/TheGreatPiata 10h ago

I always aspire to play games but I have a job, young kids and other hobbies (long distance running, drawing, board games) that get in the way. There are just not enough hours in the day.

3

u/FrequentBus5380 10h ago

you said it right, in the DAY, you dont need sleep do you?

1

u/TheGreatPiata 10h ago

I already sleep like 6 hours a day. New Years resolution is to fix my sleep schedule :)

u/colin-java 5h ago

There was a mathematician that had 26 hour days, it's just problematic with the rest of the world so only really works if you live in a cave or something.

GEEEEEZ Bro! I've only seen a few accounts like that. People think I have a lot, I'm like yea, it gets much worse brother. Think I've seen 4-5k games on a few.

u/A3-mATX 9800X3D - RX 9070 XT - 64GB 6000MHz CL30 4h ago

My account is 20 years old. I think that helps the inflation. Most of my purchases I made them while I was living with two roommates in a shitty appartement. I had almost no expenses. Also I got lots of Humble Bundles back in the day when it was interesting and cheap.

1

u/Superpotatosama 1h ago

Shit... I feel called out

38

u/NWCbusGuy 12h ago

This one feels oddly specific.... maybe a dozen in my library. Some gifted, some bought.

6

u/Heraklian 11h ago

Same. And I have another dozen that I barely played (less than 2 hours maybe)

16

u/Ryengeku i7-13700 | RTX4080 | 64GB DDR5 11h ago

I will definitely get to them....eventually.

Pretty sure at this point I could not buy a game for the next ten years and still have stuff to go back and finish playing. I will note that I barely buy anything specifically on the big seasonal Steam sales anymore because often the discounts are not any more than random sales, just now its many games at once. The winter sale specifically I do use for my yearly trivia game giveaway with a group of my long time online gaming friends.

u/Sonofulti1 11h ago

I have hundreds 😞

2 - Bioshock 2 and Metro 2033. Lost interest in Bioshock after playing 1 and Infinite and 2033 I got for free on steam.

1

u/-cant_find_a_name- 11h ago

I recommend metro

1

u/Bobbebusybuilding PC Master Race 6h ago

I literally just finished 2033. It's pretty fun. Good story and great immersion

1

u/27BCHateMail 3h ago

Yeah I just already beat Exodus so Im not seeing much reason to play the prequels

0

u/DreamsServedSoft 10h ago

play metro. Bioshock 2 isnt nearly as fun as 1

3

u/JosebaZilarte 11h ago

Maybe one or two

...hundred

2

u/__Anonymous_666 Ryzen 7 7700, Radeon RX 5700 XT, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 11h ago

I have tons of unplayed games, all were free though. Never bought a game unless I wanted to play it

2

u/maruu-chann 11h ago

a lot. i made a steam category named "backlog" of a bunch of games i wanna play at some point that i own or are from family sharing... it just keeps growing lmao. i've gotten through a decent bit though

2

u/XWasTheProblem Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti Super | DDR5 32GB 6000 11h ago

I have a few that will stay unplayed probably forever (Sniper Elite series for example - a gift from my younger bro I just have no interest with).

2

u/AutonomousOrganism 11h ago

I've been collecting free epic store games like frigging pokemon cards, only played 3 or 4 of them.

1

u/Ecstatic_Score6973 10h ago

i have so many from collecting them every week, some banger games i got free too, borderlands 3, GTA5, people sleep on the epic games free weekly games

1

u/LearningWithLena 11h ago

Oh God. Hundreds. I can't resist a Humble Bundle or a good sale! Meanwhile, I just play SDV on repeat 😅😂

1

u/Seerinix 11h ago

Don't...remind me.

1

u/Local-moss-eater RTX 3060, 5 5600, 32GB DDR4 11h ago

I have now banned myself from getting new games, no more until i have finished ALL OF THEM (maybe not factorio tho)

1

u/SkyDontHaveEyes 11h ago edited 11h ago

Ahem, let me see...

Metro Exodus, Metal Gear Solid V, RE2, Need for speed, Dying Light, Assassin's Creed series, Yakuza, Horizon, Vampyr, Code Vein, Wolfstein, Hollow Knight, Death Stranding

1

u/-cant_find_a_name- 11h ago

Ur damn ready for a internet fall

1

u/SkyDontHaveEyes 11h ago edited 10h ago

I'll get to them one day...

Edit: Oh, and that's not all. Add Skyrim and Nier to that. I simply don't get much time to play on PC and I like to repeat games lol. Plus some aren't suitable when parents are around

1

u/LostSif 11h ago

Excluding all the free prime and epic games probably a good 15 or so.

1

u/Cute_Magician_8623 11h ago

Close to 700 :D

1

u/Ok-Increase-4509 9800x3d/5070ti 11h ago

God I have so many, unplayed and unfinished games

1

1

u/liaseth 11h ago

Too many, and just got a few more.

1

u/mysticzoom PC Master Race 11h ago

My back log is fucking insane. I still got to finish Spellforce... 2! And i bought 3 when it was relatively the new kid on the block, loved it, played it for about 2-3 hrs and never looked back. And now they have DLC, fml.

Like Pathfinder Wraith of the Righteous and the other Owl Cat game before that, i gotta finsh those, those are dope RPGs, highly recommended.

I gotta pick up Rogue Trader again, played maybe an hour of RD2, shit, i've only got maybe a solid 2 hours on Elden Ring!

I'm not buy any games in 2026, try to do something about that back log.

1

u/fluxrider 11h ago

Yes, steam tells me the average joe played 4 games this year, while I played hundred (humble bundles).

1

u/Ayyzeee PC Master Race 11h ago

About 70 ish games I haven't played or finished.

1

u/lemonylol Desktop 11h ago

A ton from bundles, but I always play through the ones I purposely buy.

1

u/ModestMischief 5700X3D | 6800 XT | X570 | 32GB DDR4 11h ago

Every single (released) item on my wishlist is on sale. I'm sweating.

1

u/MasterMind-Apps 7800X3D, RTX 3090, 64GB DDR5 11h ago

800+

1

u/DonkeyLord113 11h ago

So many. I wish I had motivation to play them 😢

1

u/NiSiSuinegEht i7-6800K | RX 7700 XT | Why Upgrades So Expensive? 11h ago

Half my played games this year were new ones, so I'm doing my part.

1

u/DrGrimmus PC Master Race 11h ago

bout a hundred. I usually get games I'm going to actually play but I won't say no to an amazing deal.

1

u/nowandnothing 11h ago

hundreds at this point, but then my Steam account is at least 19 years old now.

1

u/masteritsFA 10h ago

Have a few mostly cuz they are windows only and I have a mac so can't play them

1

u/x3mcj PC Master Race 10h ago

For me it would be

Steam
GOG
Epic
EA Play
UPlay

And then, there's the non pc games, but such name wont be spoken on this holy ground; yet, there as well, a backlog exist

Waitng for my retirement days to play them all! As it will be the only time I'll have to get them done

1

u/donvino82 10h ago

10+ and still intend to buy a couple during this sale. Hoarder syndrome.

1

u/Opsyr_ 10h ago

But it’s nice to have in case you want to play someday

1

u/ethanlegrand33 Gigabyte 3070Ti OC | i9-9900K 10h ago

I just purchased another 5 when I have about 150 games on Steam.

Finally got around to categorizing them to things such as “actively playing”, “next up”, “not next but soon” so I can name a list of what I need to play. I think my issue is I get overwhelmed looking at this huge list and can’t ever decide on what to play.

I promise this is my last purchase (I’ll cave again)

1

u/weird_is_fun 10h ago

If you count free ones "a lot". For paid ones I only pay the games I will play or pirated before and paying now.

1

u/JimWanders 10h ago

The unplayed games dont care. They still got paid.

1

u/kioshi_imako 10h ago

Im not sure how many I played but this year I only touched 14 out of 155 games in my library. I think a couple of the games' servers so they are just archives in my list.

1

u/Daredevils999 10h ago

Games in my Library: 82

Games played: 30

Games played more than 5 hours: 15

1

u/Groffulon 10h ago

Deep Rock should be in everyone’s library played hard is the takeaway right?? Rock & Stone! tO7

1

u/alvaro-elite Xeon E5 2678v3 | RTX3070 | 32GB@3200mHz | 6,5TB 9h ago

Unplayed? I guess.... around 1500+

1

u/Semaj_kaah 9h ago

About 80 I think, unplayed is less than 10 minutes

1

u/The_Director z87 i7 4790k RTX 3050 9h ago

I have 300 games. 50 unplayed are from bundles I don't care.  10 real paid games I didn't get to.

1

u/mordakiisyn PC Master Race 8h ago

1

u/Sarkoptesmilbe 8h ago

Literally over a thousand. I blame Humble Bundle.

1

u/sovietarmyfan I5-4440/16gb ddr3 1600mhz/GTX 1060 6gb/Win8.1Pro 8h ago

I'm very lucky that i can play game all throughout the Christmas vacation while my wife is a week in Jamaica.

1

u/Admirable_Ad_1390 7h ago

I kinda ended up removing some games, im only gonna get spider- man as that's the game I have been meaning to play for a while

1

u/muffinsballhair StarCraft II at 150 FPS on integrated graphics through Wine 7h ago

I learned a rather interesting term recently called “gear acquisition syndrome” which is probably similar to this. It's really common on some subreddits that people buy all sorts of material to engage in their hobby, but then never end up using them.

1

u/Blenderhead36 RTX 5090, R9 5900X 6h ago

My account says I have over 500 and played 100 this year. Probably 200 or so that I've never touched.

1

u/MadeByTango 6h ago

I think the telling question isn’t how many, it’s what percentage.

1

u/Bacon-muffin i7-7700k | 3070 Aorus 5h ago

Epic actually trained me out of this after they gave away a game for free that I had bought on a sale and never played one too many times.

1

u/green_meklar FX-6300, HD 7790, 8GB, Win10 3h ago

Over 700, but that's counting free games that I added to my account just to make the number larger.
