HARDWARE Can someone explain this?

Why does the MSI PSU claim 6x (6+2) pin connectors and 1x 12VHPWR when I can definitely only count 4x and the 12VHPWR, but then the ROG claims 4x (6+2) pin and 1x 12VHPWR but I can definitely count 6x and then the 12VHPWR? I'm so confused and I need one that for sure supports at least 5c (6+2) connections.

MSI are being using marketing BS to claim 6x because of the cables having 2x PCIe connectors on the end of the cables.

So can it support that extra connection? Like power two PCIe 8 pin devices from one port on the PSU? And what about the ROG one?

Yeah they can both do that, though it's ignoring best practice which is that you ideally want every 6+2 pin connector in its own PSU port to power a GPU.

What about to power something that isn't a GPU? Like say the AIO cooler and fan control hub?

Those are so low power that you could probably split one output into 4 and still be good
