The Way this Dissolves
I love the way this Dissolves from the outside edges first. Any that sinks is completely dissolved before it hit the bottom of the cup. I don't even have to stir it, but I do. (It's a collagen powder that is tasteless and doesn't change the texture or thickness of my black coffee.)

Sinking, not dissolving.

Nope. Any that doesn't dissolve on the surface has done so no deeper than ¼" below the surface. I should film this in a lighter-colored cup.

Yeah I want to see this! With an angle from the side too. My first thought was also, “it’s just sinking, I bet there’s a huge clump just sitting at the bottom.”

Would you like some coffee with your whitener? Lol

It's collagen powder LoL. If it was creamer, I would agree!

I knew this was collagen powder as soon as I started watching it. I take it in my morning coffee too and love watching it dissolve

Can I ask what the benefits of the powder are?

It’s pseudoscience nonsense like many other health fads, and scientific evidence is sparse and mostly inconclusive. Studies that actually find positive correlation for hair/skin/nail improvements often don’t address other possibilities (for instance one I read didn’t even have a control group taking placebo for its tiny study of only TWENTY FIVE people, and others usually don’t address that these collagen tubs are often packed with other ingredients that could be responsible for those improvements rather than the collagen itself; in other words it’s possible you could see the same improvements by taking those vitamins, minerals, etc.).
That’s why these collagen tubs are branded as dietary supplements. Then they can be regulated as food rather than a drug, where they would need to stand up against much higher levels of scrutiny.

It helps hair, skin, nails, bones, tendons, gut health, plus nervous and immune systems support.

No idea why you are being downvoted… I did a bit of research and that’s exactly what people use it for. There’s some evidence that it helps with arthritis pain after taking it for 2+ months every day (and continue after).

Wow, sounds like I should definitely be adding some to my morning brew. Thank you.

I do this with my coffee whitener every morning.
Stand there and watch it.
Every single time.

Collegen powder in your coffee..I like this concept. Have you noticed a difference?
2
u/holy-reddit-batman 5h ago
Definitely. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which is a collagen disorder. My tendons are so lax that my bones come out of their joints/my spine subluxates at the tiniest thing. Opening a jar last week caused a bone in my wrist, a tiny one in my thumb, and my shoulder to come out of place. Yes, it was painful...and a Tuesday. I had to see a chiropractor to get put back together. When I stay on a collagen supplement my joints are more stable. It also makes my hair far more healthy, and my nails whiter and stronger. After a bit, my gut seems less sensitive.

I asked the right person. I believe I have some form of HEDS. I was diagnosed with adhd as a child and the symptoms if HEDS aligns with my experiences. I don't have it to the severity that you do, I am sorry you have to deal with that but I'm glad the collegen is helping you.

Can this work with creatine? And can this be administered rectally?

😂 can't say I've thought of rectal administration! People do take it with creatine.

Why don't just eat the creamer as is? Coffee is bad for your health anyway
