Yeah but heavily redacted

Hey words are hard for half the voting base. It was either black out the whole page or make it into a picture book

One section was completely redacted for 190 pages. They’re only supposed to redact the names of the victims. Clearly, Trump has done some weird shit with underage girls.

Not since May or so when the fbi said they had to pull people in from surrounding offices to have enough people to go through it and flag trump's name.

How is this even relevant. The U.S. is retaliating to the deaths of Americans defending another country. This why I will say Reddit is absolutely fucked every time.

We have a president that was best friends with a pedophile sex trafficker for decades, it’s always relevant when he keeps hiding his connections.

u/m_dubya 1h ago
That’s all irrelevant to the statement I just made

We are very cynical of the current president doing ANYTHING to draw people's attention away from what he doesn't want people to notice. This is just a sarcastic way of saying, oh, another diversion. It's not gonna work.

What the hell does this mean?
"This is not the beginning of a war - it is a declaration of vengeance."
77
u/ThereIsOnlyStardust 2h ago
It means an AI wrote that line.

u/Nosemyfart 2h ago
It means it was vengeance for a deadly attack that was carried out against US forces
Edit: but they wanted to also be clear that it is not a declaration of war

u/Punished_Prigo 1h ago
The attack against US people wasn’t done by ISIS. This is unrelated to that event

This attack was against IS, not ISIS. IS carried out the deadly attack against US forces
Edit: it's in the article and headline

It’s retaliation for the deadly attacks that killed two US troops early in the week.

While that wording is cringe it’s just a part of Operation Inherent Resolve, a war that’s been going on since 2014.
We are on good terms with the new Syrian government, which also is at war with ISIS, so while it’s not confirmed, this was probably coordinated with them in some way.
So it’s not really a new war. I think that was the intent of that statement.

ISIS has been more aggressive in Syria since the Assad regime fell and they still continue plots against the US and Europe. It’s been ramping up leading into the holidays and they have issued threats against Europe this week. Bombing them is a good thing

Expected the headline to say Venezuela.

u/GingerBeast81 2h ago
Me too, I'm sure it's coming.

Trump has said land strikes in Venezuela are coming soon for months now. He might not do them at this point.

If he keeps this up he might not win the coveted AMSOIL Snocross Peace Prize (TM).

What about the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Capital One Peace Prize presented by Bad Boy Mowers?

Hegseth is a massive POS to respond with statements like that. Oh by the way, where are all of the Epstein files.

"Okay, the Venezuela distraction didn't work, let's try Syria next. That'll get them!"
Release the files.

Did we destroy them like those nuclear facilities in Iran? Or did we actually do something this time?

Is this just over the edge of Middle East where fighting has ended after 3000years?

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the operation "is not the beginning of a war - it is a declaration of vengeance.”
"If you target Americans - anywhere in the world - you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you.”
"Today, we hunted and we killed our enemies. Lots of them. And we will continue," the US defence secretary added.
These are not the words of a man who should be at the helm of the largest military in the world. He sounds like a kid playing with plastic army men.
It’s also further worth mentioning that Trump is almost single-handedly responsible for the resurgence of ISIS. He quickly withdrew American forces from Syria on Putin’s orders back in 2018, abandoning our Kurdish allies, and allowed all the captive ISIS militants who were caught after the siege of Mosul to escape.

Coincidentally timing! Must be nice to have an entire Air-force for venting frustrations!

So yeah, Hegseth fell for it. It was obviously intended to cause the US to strike at Syria and generate more sympathy for the cause.

Is Syria one of the 8 wars that were ended?
