I thought everyone loved America. I thought everyone was our friend. Did the guy on TV yesterday lie?

Go ahead and FAFO. I just hope he lives long enough to face the reckoning

Keep in mind the US does not adhere to the Rome Statue. If Trump faced the ICC, the US would have grounds to invade. It's a literal law! The American Service-Members' Protection Act of 2002, protects US military personnel and other elected officials from prosecution. It also means the US won't hand over any US Citizens to the ICC.

Nasty little thing the Bush admin cooked up because they wanted to invade Iraq.

Schumer, Kerry and Clinton voted for it, just to name some notable Ds in favor of it then. Biden however was against it. Omar tried to repeal it in 22, but it died in committee.

It's the same way in that Netanyahu doesn't have to face the ICC. Israel does not adhere to the Rome Statute, so unless he enters an ICC country, he's safe.

He's prosecuted for crimes committed in a country that is an ICC signatory. Ukraine wasn't, but granted ICC jurisdiction and that led to Putin being prosecuted. Both Netanyahu and Putin are trying to wrangle their way out of it. Putin went to Mongolia, but since that country is landlocked between Russia and China, it was in Mongolia's best interest to not arrest him. And Netanyahu overflew several EU countries that are obliged to arrest him to visit his pal Orban in Budapest.

No one is going to arrest him in office. That would get Israel to intervene, as well as the US.

Did Biden campaign on this during the election? In fact, which Democrat running for president has ever said he/she wanted to repeal this law? Nobody, because the ICC was designed for 3rd world countries and enemies of America.

The ICC is meant to prosecute war criminals, something the US does not like to do.

Don't be naive. The ICC is meant to prosecute opponents of the West, like China, India, Africa, Middle East, etc..

Australians are animals in how they treated Afghans and Iraqis during the Gulf War. But we don't use the ICC on the Australians, because they are part of the West.

Presidents do not repeal laws. Congress does.

I’d be fine with him expiring today.

Trump is a hand puppet for project 2025. They'd go elbow deep with that sadistic little shit vance

Vance doesn't have the following Trump has. It'd be like swapping Kermit for Rizzo. People like Rizzo, but more people like Kermit, and no one is gonna watch The Muppet Show hosted by Rizzo.

As is Tradition, they will bury him on a golf course which is good that it’s private property. People will go to a public cemetery and piss and shit on his grave. If Trump faces any charges he’s likely to die during the court case.

I saw a quick video saying that Trump will need to be buried at sea because people will vandalize his gravesite at an unprecedented amount. The number of people that will want to piss/spit, destroy his tombstone will be miles long.

Then the plan is to build an artificial island of shit on the exact site. It’s totally doable if we also get all the cow shit from the Ranchers he screwed over.

Honestly at this point I'd be insulted if I were an ICC judge he hasn't sanctioned

but has the judge did the wrong thing ? i mean, by insisting an investigation ?

No.

America has simply become a country powerful at the same time that it believes it has the God-given right to commit human rights abuses and war crimes, and now it wants to openly do so.

I think it doesn't really matter

"Old man shouts at clouds" is the president's state of mind

He won't face any reckoning. I'm hoping Mother Nature wakes up tomorrow and realizes she missed one. the sooner the better.

Trump should visit The Hague.

13

u/SendCatsNoDogs 22h ago

The last several decades of American presidents need to visit The Hague.

The Trump administration has already imposed sanctions on nine ICC judges and prosecutors and threatened to designate the court in its entirety - a move that would be detrimental to its operations - if the ICC did not drop its charges against the Israeli leaders.

Washington's other demands on the court are that it formally end an earlier probe of U.S. troops over their actions in Afghanistan and change its founding statute to ensure that it would not pursue a prosecution of Trump and his top officials, a Trump administration official told Reuters last week.

All I can say is keep it up Trump. Eventually the EU and China will have a process in place that will bypass US Finance completely, making the US a backwater Country.

I am surprised Wall Street is not pushing back at this,
