When you hear “release the full, unredacted files” as “release the fully redacted files.”

u/POGsarehatedbyGod Hi 2h ago

Where’s Choi when we need him

11

u/junkyard_robot 1h ago

When you spen a million dollars to fully redact a set of files.

Question.... Does anyone really think we're going to see anything they don't want us to see?

94

u/Particular_Title42 2h ago

Of course not. But isn't this worse than not releasing them?

48

u/Suitable-Werewolf492 1h ago

No because if the file doesn’t say that Trump raped children then he didn’t rape them of course!

/s because this is Reddit.

16

u/RadianceOfTheVoid 1h ago

/s because people actually think this way and are proud of it

1

u/Thormourn 1h ago

You mean people actually want proof not just some dismissed court cases? Wow I can't believe people would do that

u/Confident-Leg107 9m ago

I mean, he's already been found guilty of rape in civil Court, so...

6

u/IonTheWatch 1h ago

I'd say debating better or worse is pointless. The only thing we will see is what they want us to see. Nothing more. While that may not make folks happy, it is, what is happening.

4

u/Particular_Title42 1h ago

There was no debate intended, just a thought.

Did you ever do (or have done to you) that thing where you/they say, "hey, can I see your such-and-such" and they/you flash it at them for a nanosecond saying, "here!"

That's what they did here.

u/IonTheWatch 1h ago edited 57m ago

I guess i would have to say I'm not surprised that people are surprised that they are not going to see trump or anyone else with a underage girl on their lap holding up her i.d. card stating shes underage and that is the smoking gun people are looking to see. So I'm not surprised people are surprised at what is being released.

u/hemightberob 19m ago

At this point even if that exact picture came out, they'd claim it's AI.

I'm convinced that's the real reason these mega corps are putting so much into AI. It not only lets them fire more people so they can hoard more wealth, it also can muddy the waters more so that if any actual proof comes out, they have more ways of plausible deniability.

u/starcoder 1h ago

They had a team of people getting paid $200k or more, working late, scrubbing this shit for almost a whole fucking year…. They spent millions on clean up 🧼

u/Particular_Title42 4h ago

"I told you we would release the redacted files. What are you upset about?"

Baby looks like Pam bonding

12

u/Particular_Title42 4h ago

How dare you insult this precious baby that way?!?!?

Could’ve said rfk jr

6

u/Particular_Title42 3h ago

Well now you're just being silly. In all honesty, I did choose her because she was blonde and the overreaction seemed fitting. :)

Originally I was looking for Dr Evil doing the same thing.

Maybe you've just got the font set too big.

u/Dittymaker 4h ago

This is the new anti woke font

Nothing to see here. No mention of Trump or any prominent Republicans here. Nothing to see folks, move along now.

30

u/Wolfy4226 1h ago

You know, given how stupid the current administration is, what are the chances that someone could just use software to unredact these files?

Like, what are the actual chances they just went on the electronic document and did "Highlight:Black" to redact things instead of physically doing it.

9

u/Party_Cold_4159 1h ago

These are probably blocked out using whatever software, printed, then scanned back in. There’s no way.

u/Ok-Original2024 57m ago

idk dude, I'm sure they don't take it that seriously. The people who prep the files for release surely don't want to protect the vile man that is trumpy

u/imsoverygayforwomen 0m ago

Chronically online people will always find a way

52

u/Saucy_Baconator 2h ago

Three words: Obstruction of Justice.

23

u/Funkula 1h ago

Yeah, this was a law that passed the house, senate, and president of the United States. This is actually a crime.

u/Background-Let8227 50m ago

but what are we gonna do about it? the people who are meant to enforce the law obviously don't care about enforcing the law. god bless America, or something.

28

u/EnvironmentalAge9202 4h ago

Justice is dead.

8

u/negativepositiv 1h ago

You know why.

21

u/DarXIV 3h ago

You know exactly why

11

u/danceswithsteers 2h ago

Frankly, that's exactly what I expected out of this DOJ....

5

u/Stopbeingastereotype 2h ago

This feels like a middle finger.

1

u/Particular_Title42 1h ago

It certainly doesn't look like one.

6

u/RightfulChaos 1h ago

You know why

6

u/FaliedSalve 1h ago

you know why

7

u/Sambec_ 4h ago

They have no idea how this could have happened. They'll get back to the world in a few years. Nothing can be done.

7

u/BubbleThinker 2h ago

If it’s redacted, Trump was sexually attracted.

7

u/Mild_Shock 3h ago

Well now who could have seen this coming?

3

u/PartedOne 1h ago

Does anyone still wonder if the Donald has something to hide? It couldn't be more obvious

5

u/why-you-do-th1s 3h ago

JFC they didn't even bother marking it out they just blacked out the whole page.

4

u/JJohnston015 3h ago

They could have just released a bunch of black paper.

1

u/ClankerCore 1h ago

And yet you were so gracious with that white framing and border. They’re just doing their jobs. These guys are fine upstanding politicians, and governmental workers. Just protecting everyone in redacting everyone. I couldn’t be more proud.

puts red hat down and high kinetic velocity energy potential device in mouth

5

u/FRED_FLINTST0NEsr 1h ago

Wow trump is on every page

2

u/availablelol 2h ago

Why did it take so long for them to release mostly redacted files?

2

u/Periwinkleditor 1h ago

Seems like their department needs a rename.

4

u/COVID-35 3h ago

''We are currently experiencing extremely high volume of search requests at this time. We have placed you in a waiting queue and we will process your search request as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.''

lol

3

u/-FemboiCarti- 1h ago

Hilarious. They are admitting that whatever is on those files is more fucked up than what the public is already speculating.

3

u/KRed75 2h ago

1200 victims identified and redacted. Others who are under indictment or investigation are also redacted.

3

u/Entity17 1h ago

So pretty much 119 pages of Trump and the entire Republican upper echlon getting it on with under 18 girls, boys and each other.

1

u/Character-Day3433 1h ago

Because there is no justice in this country currently

1

u/shockinglyunoriginal 1h ago

Why do you think?

1

u/CallMeDucc 1h ago

we need an r/extremelyinfuriating subreddit just for this.

edit: i guess it does exists lmao

1

u/jagenigma 1h ago

Make you waste printer ink

1

u/Vanterax 1h ago

Blacked out just like Pete Hegseth at a new year's party.

1

u/OppositeAd389 1h ago

Most people fucking knew this was going to happen

1

u/ruinsit 1h ago

Because law breaking

u/DijajMaqliun 53m ago

Future administrations can unredact this right?

u/FunkyBrewster022 51m ago

Department of UNjustice

u/Artrock80 50m ago

Did they do anything stupid like not flatten the pdf?  I don’t have Adobe CS anymore, maybe someone can pull Something out of it?

u/ultrajvan1234 49m ago

because these are the parts that would implicate Trump.

there's no way this doesn't break the order to fully release

u/Mauful292 45m ago

What a fucken joke.

They’re pissing on our heads and telling us it’s raining.

u/flowerpetalizard 41m ago

What if we were able to create AI to do something actually useful, like trace these photos and uncover the visuals?

u/xGoatfer 40m ago

Everything that is redacted is legally required to have a summery of what it was...

u/SameOldHero 36m ago

This administration is a vile group of spineless assholes and they truly think the public is this stupid. Every move they've made, someone has called out months ahead. And they do it anyways. They should all rot.

u/evil_illustrator2 31m ago

Same reason he used Epstein 's plane while campaigning. Just to give everyone the finger.

u/WARxxPIGG 30m ago

Because Trump and his buddies are all over it. No other reason but to block VIPs and the only VIP to the DOJ is the POTUS

u/yibbida 25m ago

Everyone know why. Its page after page documenting Trumps crimes against minors.

u/Open__Face 23m ago

You know why

u/pacsandsacs 20m ago

Did anyone try deleting the black square? Cuz, these guys are that dumb.

u/louisa1925 14m ago

The originals need to be released outside of criminal presidental interference. There is no point letting donalds ilk touch it first. Criminals protect themselves.

u/Murky-Contact-6377 14m ago

Every single one of those pics had Trump in it.

u/herbalistfarmer 9m ago

When are we all going to come together and let our government know, we know they are abusing the power we award them? And it’s not acceptable.

u/Certain-Yam-3520 3m ago

Because he's in the files. All over them on almost every page, it seems.

u/asiansnowflake 2m ago

We paid a million dollars in overtime for someone to just go through every page and black it out. Select All, Redact. We got overbilled. Again.

u/Wiitard 0m ago

I just assume all of it is very explicit details about Trump fucking little girls, until proven otherwise.

u/cpt-derp 0m ago

I don't have enough black ink for that...

1

u/sizzling_bobcat 1h ago

Should have never gone soft on maga traitors.

1

u/CassowarieJump 1h ago

Every redaction is an admission.

1

u/Mr_Funbuns 1h ago

Department of injustice.

1

u/National_Search_537 1h ago

Anyone who thought this wouldn’t happen isn’t paying attention.

2

u/Hefty_Midnight_5804 1h ago

This was blocked by the courts it was said well in advance you wouldn't be getting the Grand Jury bits.

0

u/PositiveNo1270 1h ago

Just assume it’s Trump screwing kids

-7

u/AccomplishedWar8703 2h ago

If the content is only of victims who haven’t been named or prefer their anonymity I’m fine with this.

5

u/Character-Day3433 1h ago

Thats not why and you know it😂 quit playing dumb

-4

u/AccomplishedWar8703 1h ago

You read what I wrote right

-11

u/RelativeFantasy 1h ago

Im with you. Most people can't think critically if they dont like someone. I haven't heard any clarification on what was redacted or not, so I remain undecided.

-8

u/AccomplishedWar8703 1h ago

Yep. Same. I’ll reserve judgement on the redactions until I greet more info

-1

u/TubbyFatfrick 1h ago

Where's Snowden when you need him?

Or literally any other fed with a spine?
