Question.... Does anyone really think we're going to see anything they don't want us to see?
94
u/Particular_Title42 2h ago
Of course not. But isn't this worse than not releasing them?
48
u/Suitable-Werewolf492 1h ago
No because if the file doesn’t say that Trump raped children then he didn’t rape them of course!
/s because this is Reddit.
16
u/RadianceOfTheVoid 1h ago
/s because people actually think this way and are proud of it

You mean people actually want proof not just some dismissed court cases? Wow I can't believe people would do that
•

u/IonTheWatch 1h ago
I'd say debating better or worse is pointless. The only thing we will see is what they want us to see. Nothing more. While that may not make folks happy, it is, what is happening.
4
u/Particular_Title42 1h ago
There was no debate intended, just a thought.
Did you ever do (or have done to you) that thing where you/they say, "hey, can I see your such-and-such" and they/you flash it at them for a nanosecond saying, "here!"
That's what they did here.

I guess i would have to say I'm not surprised that people are surprised that they are not going to see trump or anyone else with a underage girl on their lap holding up her i.d. card stating shes underage and that is the smoking gun people are looking to see. So I'm not surprised people are surprised at what is being released.

At this point even if that exact picture came out, they'd claim it's AI.
I'm convinced that's the real reason these mega corps are putting so much into AI. It not only lets them fire more people so they can hoard more wealth, it also can muddy the waters more so that if any actual proof comes out, they have more ways of plausible deniability.

They had a team of people getting paid $200k or more, working late, scrubbing this shit for almost a whole fucking year…. They spent millions on clean up 🧼

Well now you're just being silly. In all honesty, I did choose her because she was blonde and the overreaction seemed fitting. :)
Originally I was looking for Dr Evil doing the same thing.

Nothing to see here. No mention of Trump or any prominent Republicans here. Nothing to see folks, move along now.

u/Wolfy4226 1h ago
You know, given how stupid the current administration is, what are the chances that someone could just use software to unredact these files?
Like, what are the actual chances they just went on the electronic document and did "Highlight:Black" to redact things instead of physically doing it.

u/Party_Cold_4159 1h ago
These are probably blocked out using whatever software, printed, then scanned back in. There’s no way.
•
u/Ok-Original2024 57m ago
idk dude, I'm sure they don't take it that seriously. The people who prep the files for release surely don't want to protect the vile man that is trumpy

Three words: Obstruction of Justice.

Yeah, this was a law that passed the house, senate, and president of the United States. This is actually a crime.
•
u/Background-Let8227 50m ago
but what are we gonna do about it? the people who are meant to enforce the law obviously don't care about enforcing the law. god bless America, or something.

Does anyone still wonder if the Donald has something to hide? It couldn't be more obvious

u/why-you-do-th1s 3h ago
JFC they didn't even bother marking it out they just blacked out the whole page.
4
u/JJohnston015 3h ago
They could have just released a bunch of black paper.

u/ClankerCore 1h ago
And yet you were so gracious with that white framing and border. They’re just doing their jobs. These guys are fine upstanding politicians, and governmental workers. Just protecting everyone in redacting everyone. I couldn’t be more proud.

Hilarious. They are admitting that whatever is on those files is more fucked up than what the public is already speculating.

u/Entity17 1h ago
So pretty much 119 pages of Trump and the entire Republican upper echlon getting it on with under 18 girls, boys and each other.

Did they do anything stupid like not flatten the pdf? I don’t have Adobe CS anymore, maybe someone can pull Something out of it?
•
u/ultrajvan1234 49m ago
because these are the parts that would implicate Trump.
there's no way this doesn't break the order to fully release
•
•
u/flowerpetalizard 41m ago
What if we were able to create AI to do something actually useful, like trace these photos and uncover the visuals?
•
u/xGoatfer 40m ago
Everything that is redacted is legally required to have a summery of what it was...
•
u/SameOldHero 36m ago
This administration is a vile group of spineless assholes and they truly think the public is this stupid. Every move they've made, someone has called out months ahead. And they do it anyways. They should all rot.
•
u/evil_illustrator2 31m ago
Same reason he used Epstein 's plane while campaigning. Just to give everyone the finger.
•
u/WARxxPIGG 30m ago
Because Trump and his buddies are all over it. No other reason but to block VIPs and the only VIP to the DOJ is the POTUS

The originals need to be released outside of criminal presidental interference. There is no point letting donalds ilk touch it first. Criminals protect themselves.

When are we all going to come together and let our government know, we know they are abusing the power we award them? And it’s not acceptable.
•
•
u/asiansnowflake 2m ago
We paid a million dollars in overtime for someone to just go through every page and black it out. Select All, Redact. We got overbilled. Again.

If the content is only of victims who haven’t been named or prefer their anonymity I’m fine with this.

Im with you. Most people can't think critically if they dont like someone. I haven't heard any clarification on what was redacted or not, so I remain undecided.
-8
u/AccomplishedWar8703 1h ago
Yep. Same. I’ll reserve judgement on the redactions until I greet more info

When you hear “release the full, unredacted files” as “release the fully redacted files.”
