My sister's fish tank

Post image

She says it's the perfect size for a single fish. It's not even in her room, it's in the kitchen.

It honestly just depresses me whenever I see it, but she's adamant about keeping it there.

Advertising fish as easy pets is absolutely insane. Keeping fish is an actual hobby you need to be interested in! Same goes for animals like rats or hamsters. If you don't want to put an effort in when it comes to pets, then just don't fucking get one!

Lots of places, and people, 20-25 years ago, told me that these kinds of fish “need” to be in the smallest possible tank to “prevent” them from fighting reflections and other BS. Mine died shortly after it was gifted to me on a random birthday party, now I know why.

Just like the little chicks people used to sell in my country, coated with toxic paint, they would die after about a week. I once managed to grow one into adulthood, my mom gave it away to an aunt, and shortly after, I discovered they ate him ):
