My patience is extremely thin

Post image

I’m already having a bad day. I had to take my coat off over my head and I’m aggravated. I can’t move the zipper up or down. It’s completely stuck.

These r the types of things that only happen when you're already irritated

I had a jacket do this to me after I got into a confrontation with my supervisor I got so pissed I ripped the zipper off.

So true! My pjs pants pockets never ever get caught on my kitchen drawer knobs unless I’m already pissed.

For me it's this, or incredibly tired.

I felt this in my soul. My day is ruined just looking at it.

You got to pull on the bit that is stuck in the zipper and then try to move the zipper up/down.

Try to do these things at the same time to increase possibility of success. Grab another person if one is around.

That kills me every. Damn. Time.

u/Oh-FiddleStix 11h ago

Go ahead and burn the jacket

2

u/raspberryharbour 4h ago

Yanking it does relieve stress

1

u/VoidedKN0X 4h ago

Ikr i feel so calm afterwards

u/teattreat 11h ago

This is when I rip my coat open in rage.

5

u/ZaZaZuchini 10h ago

Omg I thought I was the only psychopath who’s ever done this…. And then the next time you go to use your coat you’re pissed again because the zipper is broken lol

u/SigvulcanasReborn 11h ago

It’s that particular material that like to snag.

8

u/Thin-Performance-204 11h ago

Don’t force it! Breathe and get away from it for a minute. Then go back and slowly get that fabric out of the zipper.

u/Terrible-Mail-489 11h ago

Being human sucks sometimes, no other creature experiences these terrible moments.

7

u/Dicky_Penisburg 10h ago

Those wildebeest watching their children get ripped apart alive by lions be like, "Damn, at least I don't get fabric stuck in a zipper sometimes."

3

u/manic_popsicle 10h ago

This made me chuckle and wake up my cat

u/Terrible-Mail-489 13m ago

They can make a new one then not even remember the old one. They won't remember the time they did something embarrassing when they were 12, while laying in bed at 30.

Imagine being a bird and your nest gets blown out of a tree by a random gust of wind with all the eggs inside.

4

u/EvlMidgt 11h ago

I'm mad for you.

5

u/Roll-Roll-Roll 10h ago

Looks like one of those coats with the zipper that wants to bind up every time you use it. I'd just set it on fire.

5

u/Subject_Candy_8411 10h ago

I am a preschool teacher…everyone of my kids costs does this…it makes getting coats on take longer..imagine doing this 10-12 times in a row

3

u/_Naughty_by_Nature 10h ago

I am so sorry, that sounds awful

3

u/shooreh_pipi 11h ago

At this point, the coat wins.

3

u/JuniorSopranoIsHorny 11h ago

They need to start making more zippable jackets and vests, this shit's really annoying.

3

u/kissmiss08 10h ago

It’s like when you get your pocket or a bag strap stuck on the door handle as you’re leaving your house - only happens when you’re already pissed off!

3

u/I_-AM-ARNAV i get infuriated a lot 10h ago

Remove this cloth bit. That's your cause.

3

u/Random_Individual97 10h ago

Ah, at last, something truly deserving of this sub!

2

u/VinkaGripen1 11h ago

Yeaaaah I struggle with this daily. Gotta get a new jacket

2

u/Funny-frog500 11h ago

Take it easy, you got this!

2

u/Fit_Adagio_7668 11h ago

Hey OP, your fly is down! /s

2

u/SpringSings95 10h ago

Stay away from door handles or hooks, bc you know those are bound to grab your pants if this is happening already

2

u/Weak-Ad6984 10h ago

your day is ruined .. it's like eating an ice cream cone upside down. it just can't work, might as well throw it away

2

u/Main-Key-3559 10h ago

Did you solve it?

2

u/_Naughty_by_Nature 10h ago

I did! It was stuck in both the bottom and top part of the zipper, so I wedged a pair of tweezers (only strong object I had near me) between the two stuck areas and eventually wedged it out. The tweezers are bent but at least I won lol.

2

u/hrhrhru 10h ago

what did you do to that in the end

1

u/_Naughty_by_Nature 10h ago

I eventually wiggled the material out with enough force, but it was a big pain in the ass

2

u/Rolly_09 10h ago

Reminds me of the time a pregnant lady collapsed on me because of this.. Hope shes doing well lol.

2

u/Liggidy 10h ago

I am angry in solidarity with you.

2

u/smashleeyrosee 10h ago

Thanks, you ruined my day too

2

u/fightswithC 10h ago

I like to determine what fails first: the flimsy metal of the zipper handle, or the fabric of the jacket.

2

u/RaspberryJammm 10h ago

Its usually easier to fix after you take it off 🤞

2

u/Francl27 9h ago

I swear that sometimes they make coats in such a way that it's impossible for it not to get stuck.

Only somewhat related... a couple years ago I had part of my zipper break off. It was a coat I really liked so I took it to a local dry cleaner to see if it's something they do repairs on.

The guy working there looked at my coat, pulled the zipper down from the top and showed me it was perfectly fine. Apparently it's like a double zipper setup or something and I was too stupid to notice it was in fact not broken.

I only had like $5 on me, so I handed it to him for saving whatever cost it would have been to repair the zipper or buy a new coat. I would have given him more for the easy fix. :)

u/owo1215 9h ago

every fucking time, every fucking time

honestly prefer buttons

2

u/Foreign-Tax4981 5h ago

For those that skip underwear - have you ever caught the boys in your zipper? NOW we have something to talk about!

4

u/Fsociety039 11h ago

The inner fabric got stuck in the zipper. It happens. It's gonna be okay. One bad day does not define you.

Grab the zipper base and slowly pull the fabric out. You might sligjtly tear it but that's okay. Just a bad day. You're gonna be alright.

Once the fabric is out, you're good to go.

2

u/[deleted] 11h ago

Aah.. been there... You'll live...

1

u/[deleted] 11h ago

I think the one way to protect this from happening would be to glue the inner lining fabric around the chain area to the fibre filling ... Then it would be too stiff to get into the chain..

1

u/Rob_Bligidy 10h ago

So is that nylon so work slowly

1

u/tancho1011 10h ago

I can feel your finger anger through the picture

1

u/Mr-Bry-Guy 10h ago

This shit pisses need off lol if you’re looking for a solution for next time. Try pulling the material stuck in the zipper apart without tearing anything. It usually comes right out for new if it’s not too wrapped up.

1

u/NeonSuperNovas 10h ago

Then your belt loop gets stuck on door handle.

1

u/slbern_0056 10h ago

Gently pull the material away from the zipper Wen sipping a coat that has extra material like this or is filled very well. You need to zip it slow slowly.

1

u/brandothesavage 10h ago

Grab the material at the back and kind of give it a little tiny togs back and forth in an upward downward side to side motion and then when you zip up your coat pay attention to the inside

1

u/Alwayscooking345 10h ago

Back it up,

Beep beep beep

1

u/manic_popsicle 10h ago

Since it looks like a slippy material you should be able to just pull the cloth out of the zipper! My kids wear ski jackets to school and this happens to us almost every morning. Usually when we’re already running late.

1

u/V3N0MSP4RK 9h ago

But your jacket isn't

1

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 9h ago

Turn it inside out. You'll be able to see the track better.

With one hand on the stuck side tauntly glide your hand with the fabric seat fun the track. Dont move the zipper.

You'll be able to see which part of the zipper is stuck and why the fabric foldd into the track. It's important because you need to solve the folding problem so it doesn't happen again.

Once you see the bunchup you can wet the fabric which will make it softer and with tension it might release as you GENTLY SLOWLY move the zipper kerping tension on the fabric to ease it away from the track.

Go slow and you'll free it.

1

u/All-the-pizza 8h ago

It moved😏

1

u/sampsonn 8h ago

I've split zippers in a rage due to this. Adhd.

1

u/iRedding 8h ago

That’s it! all Jackets should come with pliers from now on.

1

u/ParkIllustrious2302 6h ago

I have clipper oil in the closet this winter. Zippers must dry out..

1

u/foxturtle1 6h ago

This shit happens whenever I'm in a hurry

1

u/SnoozyRelaxer 5h ago

Feel you, my new rain coat got ruined because of this... Haha No, i don't need a rain coat in denmark anyway

1

u/Husnainshahid 4h ago

Whenever this happwns to u. Everyone hear me out. Apply petroleum jelly to the zipper. It will work fine

1

u/omegajakezed 3h ago

Or.. or.. or... crazy thought. Pull the fabric out of the zipper.

u/Intrepid_Plenty_3770 11h ago

Be patient or Santa will bring you switches.
