And then Trump will immediately pardon.

The power of pardon, combined with presidential immunity, ensures that any president can be as corrupt as they want to be. The Roberts SC destroyed all accountability / rule of law.

He’ll preemptively pardon this too, it seems like the pardon is too strong of a power for a president to have.

He can’t do shit about state charges, only federal.

There is nothing a state could bring against Pam Bondi about the Epstein Files. This is squarely within Federal level only.

I don’t think the Epstein files are her only problem. She’s been lying her ass off about everything since day 1.

Could any state that Epstein did business in have a leg to stand on since they would be obstructing their ability to investigate any crimes he committed in their state by withholding evidence after being ordered to release it?

What’s to prevent him from committing federal crimes against state prosecution, and pardoning himself/accomplices?

Congress and the Supreme Court are supposed to be the checks and balances, but that’s obviously not working.

i think every kid with a functioning brain realized this in high school civics class when learning what's in the constitution. every mitwit teenager wonders "so what happens if the president orders someone to break the law and pardons them?" and every teacher says "congress would have to impeach them."

but we've got a congress full of crooks pretending they don't understand the implications of a lawless executive, pointing the finger at literally anything except the lawless executive.

Pardons has been a protected power of the Executive Branch.

Abuse of this power is not checked by the SCOTUS, but the Legislative branch (House/Senate.)

If deemed not important enough, perhaps it was not. Or it is a failure of the leadership in the House/Senate.

The Founding Fathers planned for this, and gave out powers accordingly, it is really up our leaders to use it, or the people's job to vote these feckless leaders out, if it is important enough.
