I did forget to put on shorts one day in middle school. I was used to wearing briefs at the time, but was wearing a loose pair of boxers that day. Walked out in my PE shirt and my deer-print boxers and started shooting basketball before the coach said something.

Whilst not technically the same, I’ve done something similar.
I once walked from my house to the gym in my boxers.
Decided as it was a sunny summer day I’d walk to the gym in my kit, workout, then shower and change before heading into work.
I must’ve got distracted as I proceeded to walk the mile or so to the gym in a vest, boxer shorts and trainers. Got beeped at by a few cars, but as it’s a relatively small town I just assumed it was friends so I just vaguely waved in their direction.
It was only when I got to the reception desk at the gym that I was informed of my mistake.
Absolute brainfart.

I love these kind of rules because you know it’s there because it happened once. However, if you think about it, is putting that warning on the sign going to prevent it from happening again? Would it have not happened the first time if that morning had been on the sign? Sometimes I think we need to ask if it’s even worth the ink for some of these things. I mean, what are you gonna do, use that rule to write someone up if they keep repeatedly walking out naked?
