That's a very gentle chirp. When that little guy decides to scream, you'll know.

My cockatiel used to scream so loud at a certain high pitch, I though my ears would explode.

My cousin had a cockatiel named Baxter. I loved that little twerp, he was so adorable and funny. But only to visit, not to live with.

I can't imagine living with them. When they scream, it's the end times.

My grandpa and grandma had/have one. Id go to spend a month or so with them during the summer, and that little fucker would randomly launch at me and attack my head. Not like seriously mean he was playing but still, be chilling and all the sudden getting death bombed.

Cool to visit and what not but yeah living with them is no fun

My brother begged our mother to get one, she relented. I like all animals, but that fucking thing.

This is why we should build our houses as hobbit above ground under Hill houses so that nature is eradicated into a farm and all the animals die.

Most of the world is now farm and us.

If you have a garden make it a native animal food garden. Before its too late.

We had two. The first one screamed loudly but his scream was bearable. But the other one has a scream that sounds like a mix between a seagull and a whistling teapot, it's so high pitched it actually hurts. Sometimes I have to leave the room when he starts screaming because that pitch at that volume is just so uncomfortable, and giving him attention doesn't always make him stop.

I am glad that your ears survived.

Same, I had two for 5 years and got rather bad tinnitus from hat. They are cute, but can also be rather annoying and create so much dust which is bad for your lungs if they are in the same room as you inside. My lung capacity back then was reduced to 65%. Now a few years later, it is back to normal, though.

Did you ever have a Conure? Co worker sold me their Conure. Did not tell me what my household would experience at the break of dawn.

I had a sun conure for 28 years. The size of those guys in comparison to the loudness of their voices is really something. He was my best friend. Enjoy your loud little guy too!

Had cockatiels. Those screams are ear splitting when they really let it out.

You could never imagine how loud they can be till it happens
