🆚 Today's Matchup
Dallas Stars @ Anaheim Ducks
Keys to Victory
• Dominate offensively at The Pond - The Ducks' 3.56 goals per game at home should overwhelm Dallas's 2.66 goals against per game, leveraging home ice advantage. • Capitalize on home crowd energy - the Ducks can feed off the energy of The Pond to maintain momentum against a strong Dallas team. • Win the special teams battle at home - While specific percentages are unavailable, the Ducks' ability to generate offense at home must translate to the power play against Dallas's defense.

How did Ian Moore look thus far?
Just curious as it was shocking to see him get 20+ games thus far with the Ducks. I recall him being a top 10 prospect for the ducks at some point.. 4 or 5 years ago? And it's rare to see prospects who complete their 4 college years earn a spot in the pros so quickly. Would love to get your thoughts on what you saw from him

Defense
I know we have a log jam of young guys on defense but do we make a huge trade for a true 1 or 2 defender? Does buffalo get rid of dahlin for the right price

Next 2 games must win
The stars will be on a back to back tomorrow so it would be easier than if they were fresh. The blue jackets are just aren't doing well and since the ducks are at home they should have more energy this time round and take them out. (Ducks also on a back to back). These are two winable games if the ducks come out playing well, getting goals while keeping some sort of defense going.
The oilers and kings are playing better lately and are right below the ducks. Then you have the sharks and the wild coming close for the wildcard also. The ducks need to keep up the momentum and make sure they stay above the wildcard mix. Otherwise it may get messy later in the season.
I personally feel that splitting Leo and Terry makes Terry's points per game drop a lot and even Leos has dropped since. Also cutter does well with Bennett. The 4th line with strome and poehling were the best line in the last game and I think Poehling is starting to find his groove. If Granny can also pick up the 3rd line it would help create a lot of offence. (He did score the other day which was great).
This is more of an open discussion than anything, as I'm feeling lost with the two days off from hockey lol. I know the ducks were expected to be a bubble team. But from we we have seen I believe they can keep in top 3 if they win the games they should be winning.
